Owned and carried both....IMO, the Millie carries better due to being thinner and lighter....

Again though, Spyderco's normal response to that, assuming it was a warranty issue and the model was still in production, would be to send the person a new knife. If it was not a warranty issue, they'd either regrind the blade or tell the customer the knife was beyond repair. Just seems that would ...

Spyderco has never sold blades for any of their knives which use screws. Am curious as to why you think they'd start doing that now. Thanks! I haven't been on here much and didn't realize this change was being implemented into already-released pinned models as well.

I know the new Dragonfly 2 features Torx screws at the pivot and lockbar hinge but since when did the other formerly "all-pinned" models start having this? I just picked up a new PE Pacific that has torx at the pivot and lockbar hinge instead of pins....

The green 3M Scotchbrite pads are what have always been recommended previously for restoring SS handles....

Mainly the Dragonfly 2....I've been needing a smaller EDC and it fits the bill perfectly....

Did you tighten the pivot only?

If so, here are a few other "quick fixes" that might work...

Tighten the the handle screw nearest the pivot and make sure that the other handle screws are firmly seated. Sometimes, tightening the clip screws a hair can reduce miniscule amounts of blade play.

I have one that has been carried and used for almost 8 yrs straight. Lock up is only between 40 and 50%. I don't see 50-55% being a problem. Personally, I prefer a more "centered" lock-up on a liner lock.

It does seem the Military has fallen by the wayside as of late when it comes to upgrades and steels.... With that said, this isn't the first time that Military has seemingly been pushed to the back burner....Several past models enjoyed "temporary" popularity bursts and seemingly overshadow...
