Re: Rockjumper discussion

In reality, It's a test piece The beauty of the mid back-lock is: sal I really appreciate when Sal explains the reasoning behind the different knives, not only do we get the engineering aspects but the business side of things too which quite honestly is really not anyone’s business. So thank you Sal!

Not a single "Military familiy member", especially no PM2 or Para 3 variant.
There’s a Military 2 with comp lock coming down the pipeline as stated in Sals bombshells.

Personally I think this reveal is refreshing without so much focus on PM2 and Para 3

Re: Tell us about your Spyderco Knife of the Year 2019

My favorite blade of 2019 is the Tropen. I like the large blade, no choil and smoothness of the opening. The fit and finish is beautiful from the polished g10 to the grind lines in the blade. I highly recommend before the new year price increase.

Re: Spyderco Retro?

Hi Sal hope hope your well. I think the Renegade with no choil and a full flat or hollow grind would be swell :) I’m pretty sure it’s a 4” blade and that’s what I like nothing against choils I like them BUT prefer something different in the Renegade.

Re: Spyderco Retro?

I wish I was alive when the spyderco renegade was available. However, I am extremely happy with the native chief. +1 For the Renegade! Classic Spyderco. That thing is beautiful. Be nice to see an updated Golden model full flat grind but lose the choil and bring that nice edge all the way back to th...

Re: KO work sharp question?

Hi Raven, I don’t have the work sharp but those angles sound right on, just use the old sharpie trick and make sure you are hitting the edge. Spyderco’s are roughly around 17 deg per side so use the 20 deg setting and adjust the knife as needed and take all that sharpie of the edge before doing the ...

Re: A good sub hilt?

Check out cold steel OSS sub hilt it’s very affordable, I’ve wanted this one for a while now. Would like to get a custom sheath made from Mr Sastre if I really like the feel of the knife. James Keating’s sub hilt is my most comfortable fixed blade but is pricey out there on the bay.

Get the Chinook 4, it’s the best version yet. Longer blade, new lock and finger guard. And yes nice and pointy.

I’m in!

A friend of mine enlisted in the Marines right out of high school and went to Iraq to fight for our freedom. Adam lost his life over there but I will never forget him because he was one of the bravest and most selfless people I’ve ever known. God bless all of the fallen heroes.
