Careful with the Border Patrol!
Make well sure, Percival, if you order your Spydies from retailers in the USA that the retailer carefully tightens all **** out of the pivot before he ships. If the guys at Customs can open your knife with a snap of the wrist, they'll deem it in violation of the restricted weapon laws, and you won't...

Once you start...
... you just can't stop. First the Kumo, then a reasonable pause (though there was a Microtech purchase in there) then the Yojimbo, and days later the Ronin. Now I'm trying to raise funds for an SE Military by selling my Kershaw Spec Bump. What have Sal and the rest of you folks done? At least I'm s...

Nah, I don't take it that way at all. Usually, when I start bending stuff with pliers (and so on) before someone has actually recommended it to me, my next step is looking for a replacement part. I'll give it a go, thanks. This might sound a wee bit simple and sarcastic but it is not meant to be.......

That's great. Boy, keeping that up is the best way I can imagine to make sure that nothing really bad happens, like sarin in the subway or a nuke on Wall Street. I have trouble getting some of my knives into Canada, but at least there aren't cops looking to make an issue of me having them. I like a ...

Yojimbo clip
I'm loving my Yo, but not the Nev-R-Grip clip: I'm starting to get twitchy about checking to see it's still in place as I make my way through the day. I've had it fall as I pull something out of my pocket, and when I grab my jeans in the morning. Obviously, it's been designed to be able to be deploy...

Thanks, guys. ****! I guess I'm being lucky with wildeals, David has been excellent in the communication department. I would unquestionably be a little pissed if a transaction had gone south as yours did. I did ask specifically if he had Ronins sitting there before I ordered, I guess it's wise to ma...

Got a Yojimbo...
... and it's great. Sharp as ****, very pleasing ergonomics, opens nicely with a flick of the thumb (though as Mike Janich says about the two-handed opening technique in a Yo review thread "This one, simple, two-handed technique is much better (and faster) than ten failed one-handed openings.&q...

Great service from Kershaw.
Now, let me preface ths happy missive by saying that I would expect spectacular sevice from Spyderco should I ever require it: but so far I haven't (which is a great thing.) My CPM-154 Spec Bump (which I mention in another thread, regarding my woes with it and the Sharpmaker) developed a problem wit...

Sharpmaker and Kershaw Spec Bump (redux)
Well, here it is a couple of weeks later, and I'm not making much progress. Using the magic-marker trick, I can demonstrate that I'm sharpening my Spec Bump properly up to the belly on one side of the blade, and just short of it on the other side. Past there, I'm getting the grippy feeling of steel ...

Thanks, Scott. I tended to think user error, too, but the others are all wicked sharp. Perhaps there's a problem with me and recurved blades: I just saw this thread and will probably put the sharpen-by sections technique to use.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Sharpmaker and Kershaw Spec Bump
Hey there, I can get a forearm-cleaning edge on my Kumo, Wenger Swiss Army, Kershaw Blur, and CRKTs; but not the CPM154 Spec Bump. It's sharp, but not what it should be: certainly not at all what it was when I got it. I've tried a lot of strokes through the 40º setup, and the 30º and then 40º routin...
