Wegner Jr - Yeah! and Question?

Finally got a liner lock I can trust. Love the blade shape, ergos, grind, everything. Wegner Jr. has a full spacer (i.e., no exposed "blade" when closed to be damaged by change, other junk in pockets) and the best opening "THWACK" going. Question - the liner does "walk"...

RC is tricky - saw Talonite ratings (low!) and almost fell over. It's about hardness, lubricity and other factors (grind, geometry, etc.) Unless we are all metalurgists, some 'microscopic' variances won't make that big a difference.

Use and learn. Cheers,

Stropping is a skill, used for showing how 'sharp' you can get a blade. Keep one knife to strop-and-show. For the rest, I like a 'rougher' edge. I've actually returned to my old habit of circular sharpening on a bench stone (sorry, not into the fancy systems just yet). The counterclockwise motion re...

Mine is a little mundane, but here goes: A guy who isn't into knives asks for my opinion about a small pocket knife. I suggest a Dragonfly - he agrees and gets a serrated version. Anyway, after only a few hours, he drops it point first into asphalt, chips the tip, a couple of teeth and dings the zyt...

Some have more teeth (Delicas that is) Question?

Just got my replacement Delica II from Golden. Tight, perfect, love it. Thanks to all for the product and service.

Question: Delica 98 has 5 big serrations and 5 sets of smaller ones. Delica II has 5 big serrations but only 4 sets of smaller ones, resulting in a stubbier blade. WHY?

You'll go anywhere for one of those, won't you? Ever since that little picture caught your eye. Well, thanks a lot - now I want one too.

Fun Place

Nice to see this place pop up. A direct artery to Spyderco. Can't beat that. It's also great to see the BF members posting here; this cross-pollination of information is of inestimable worth. Plus Sal and the gang are here. Whew... thanks for this. Just edited my spelilgn... Edited by - RLR on 7/26/...
