I have a number if flippers and while they are "fun" I'm not sure why Spyderco would change that which made them famous. I respect those opinions calling for a Spydie-flip, but I would rather see them in another brand of knife. Brad already does the "Spydie-hole... perhaps just enlarg...

I never was a huge fan of the Stretch but I'm really wondering how good it would be in ZDP-189. I'm beginning to think with a supersteel like ZDP I'm willing to take a second look. I would also like to see either the Chokwe or another small fixed blade in ZDP as well. I was looking at the British R...

Whatever is decided upon would be fine be me, but since the knive would represent Spyderco and it's Forum, imo it should be somewhat unique. I would trust Sal's judgement in the matter. That being said, I would not prefer FRN. Hope all have a happy and safe Labor Day.

What? Brad must already be part of the family. His attention to detail and making it right, for a greater good, speaks loudly. :)

We have a thread on USN called "Sal, What Next?". Lately we've been on a 2 page rant about how we want to see a Brad Southard knife! I've been in contact with the guy before and he's very nice and we want to see a collaboration between you guys and one of his folders! I'm a huge fan of hi...

Another thread talked about bringing back the Starmate. Perhaps it could be the "Forum Knife" I'd definitely be in for that. I know times are tough for a lot of folks, but with some advance notice or even a deposit it would allow people to plan for it.

Just had mine out admiring it. Will put it to use tomorrow. What a GREAT knife and addition to the Pacific, Aqua and other salt versions. And yes, I would also buy an 8" PE fixed blade H-1 fillet knife in a heartbeat. I know it would add to the cost but full tang would be the "hot tip"...

Whatever I have in my pocket along with gold dots :D . I used to keep a larger Boker fixed blade between the seats. Not really sure why, but I moved it back inside the house. My 4 sevens stays on my nightstand.

If I were worried about rust on a Para 2, I'd probably hold off buying one for at least four or five years. By then, Spyderco will have the problems worked out.   Just kidding.........pick up your favorite and enjoy it. THEY ARE GREAT! Really looking forward to the blu...

Whatever price you pay, you will be happy with the knife. It is well constructed, light, opens/closes easily one handed, carries deeply, pillar construced for easy cleaning, and takes and holds an edge well. Haven't tried the other models of the Sage but I sure like this one.

The two that have probably "cut the most stuff" would be my Lignum Vitae Stretch and my Chaparral. That little guy did yeoman service from the time I began preparing to move until most of my stuff was unpacked. If you don't mind my asking, where in the heck did you come across a Lignum Vi...

My Catcherman came in today. :D A little stiff at first but after about 20 or so openings smoothing out. Be careful as these bad boys are "sticky sharp" out of the box. The grind on mine was even on both sides and as previously stated SHARP! For filleting I like a really sharp knife but fo...

Delica S90v ffg with CF or Micarta handles different colors? Why not honor the knife that has helped make Spyderco what it is.......if not a Delica, a really special Para 2. Love the comp lock.

I have both PE and SE. For cutting bait the serrated is better. Be sure to use a cutting board on top of whatever you would normally cut on because these will definitely damage surfaces. I also use the SE diving. If I'm gutting large grouper or filleting I use the PE (yes they do fillet pretty well)...

My order went in today. Really looking forward to filleting a fat flounder with this bad boy. May make a special trip to my favorite flounder hole this weekend just to give her a try. Guess a redfish, trout, or spanish wouldn't hurt either. Looks like a neat knife, and at less than 3 ounces good to ...
