Re: Para 3 with CTS 204P River's Edge - New Shipment
Bummed I missed this one, I'm still kicking myself for not ordering one from the first batch when I had a chance. Guess I'll have to settle for my BHQ DLC Para 3. I missed out on both batches aswell. At first, not many ppl cared for this knife. Then it went to everyone had to have one. I feel that ...

Re: Burned Edges....
This is caused by sharpening by power belt which causes the very thin edge to exceed the tempering temperature (approx. 300F). Some of the steels Spyderco uses can have tempering temps up near 1000 degrees F depending on which heat treat is used for that steel. The steels with red hardness (High sp...

Burned Edges....
I see this come up a good bit lately. I'm very sure it's possible to overheat an edge at the factory, but how common is it really? Can an edge be ruined before it reaches the buyer? Will an edge that's been overheated need to be sharpened to get to the 'good steel'? I'm hoping some of the folks at S...

Re: Has your compression lock knife opened accidentally?
I don't think I've seen this mentioned but keeping the detent ball and detent hole clean are very important. With the detent hole being so small, it dosent take much for it to fill with dirt and pocket lent preventing the detent ball from resting securely and keeping the blade in place.

I would love this as well. It's a wonderful steel and a very nice choice for scales.

Re: 1st dragonfly 2
The ZDP-189 hits a sweet spot for me with the steel. I missed the HAP40 and im sure they are awesome. As far as scale material goes, FRN models are very light and are joy to carry even as a secondary blade. The stainless models are thinner than the FRN and G10 and features an hourglass clip that is ...

I love this stuff too. Nice and grippy. Speaking of the Para3 s90v sprint, what's taking so long?

Re: New catalog wish list...
Well, first on my wish list is a Sliverax sprint/exclusive, but I'd also be interested in a Manix 2 back lock sprint, a Shaman sprint, and I'm really just anxious to see the Caribbean's released. Yes!! The Shaman sprnits!! With that beautiful contoured g10 in various colors. My problem is that my w...

I was surprised how well my Sharpmaker did with Maxamet. I Have only needed to touch up the edge so far but it was a breeze.

Re: New Models Dropped: Shaman PE/SE, Hundred Pacer
I second more stonewashed blades, and clips to match. The action on the Shaman with its thick and heavy blade stock reminds me of the Yojimbo 2. I'm very happy with the knife over all and can't wait to get mine.

I'm hoping this and the PM2 Maxamet don't drop at the same time. Both are a must by for me.

Re: Transluscent FRCP
Funny you mentioned this. While reading the Native5 LW Cruwear post, I thought about this for the scales color. It would be great to see a new translucent color. Especially with all the dealer exclusive knives these days.
