I heard S125V comared to ZDP-189, if so then all the steels you are asking about are in this chart. Link: http://www.nsm-ny.com/?page_id=43 Zdp stays sharp at acute angles and will be great at slicing in the kitchen but 3v will excel at outdoor type impact tasks. S35VN seems to add some toughness ov...

Re: Starmate

Sounds great!! One question, would ZDP/ ATS-55 laminated have any advantages over pure ZDP?

New PM2 sprint

ParaMilitary 2 in Earth Brown G10 handles, with Crucible Industries new CPM-S35VN steel (C81GPBN2)! Do a web search to find where it will be available. I saw pre-order on a police equipment sight.

Nice concept and result. How much elbow grease was needed? Er- hard shaking or tumbling. I'm asking because I can access a wrist shaker machine and wondered if it would be useful.

There is a pre-order on a Paramilitary 2 going on at BBS for a Blue G-10 (same color as the Sage 3) and M390 steel. There is a thread on this exclusive sprint:

What are the thoughts about other paramilitary sprints in M390 or for that matter anything else sprint or production with M390 steel. So far I really like the paramilitary, the F&F, how it feels in hand, the blade, size, you get it. I'm not bonkers about the Blue G-10, would prefer an earthy col...

Congratulations. I called KC about my order last week and they said I have a "good chance" of getting one. It could be 60-90 days though, what torture waiting and I may or may not get one. Since it was a decent price on the pre-order and I don't have the extra $ for afterm...

I was really late to the party on this one also. Got on a few lists but I was so late I doubt there will be enough of these made to fill my order for one. If anyone is listening at Spyderco, how about making a double or triple run of these? I'm sure they would all get snapped up pretty quickly. I k...

Oh no, I ordered in Jan from KC, I thought it was in the bag, now I'm wondering what my chances are. And the reviews just stoke the want so much more. This was going to be my first Para and so I could compare it to a Manix 2 to see which I like better. I still am hoping my order will come through.

A question which seem appropriate n this thread; What knife/ knives would you think are good for a 11-14 year old? I gave my son a Byrd Robin last year when he moved up to Boy Scouts. I'm thinking a Delica will be next on his B-day maybe.

Very nice pictures. Wish list in no particular order, both native 5's, Lum Tanto love the G-10 weave pattern, a natural with the sharp tanto blade, and Yohimbo 2. Like the bolster on Man Bug makes it more of a gent's folder. Also second a lefty too lock on the techno or other framelock folders. Can'...

I recently bought a non assisted flipper with a unique flipper that is not attached to the blade; it slides into the handle when the blade opens. No tab in the choil area. It pushes the blade and physics does the rest. To quote the description: "The Kershaw NRG model 1740 Knife is one of a new ...
