Re: Detent Strength on Sage 5?
Mine is roughly the same as my PM 2’s. Neither of my PM’s or my Sage 5 will shake open.

Re: Noob questions (3)
Rubbing alcohol is terrible for tape residue, acetone works and my wife keeps it around to remove nail polish. Mineral oil for knives used for food prep, White Lightning chain lube for pivots and surfaces needing protection from rusting, tuff cloth works too.

Re: Could you EDC only a Ladybug or Manbug?
I won’t but if I had no choice I could make it work. Typically the smallest knife I would EDC is a DF 2. I have a small multi tool with scissors and a little knife blade as an adjunct to whatever folder I’m carrying but I find a larger knife more comfortable and usable.

Re: Interest for an all Titanium Ikuchi?
I would be interested but LC200N and all Carbon fiber scales would work better for me. I don’t care for Spyderco’s carbon fiber/G10 laminate. I do like the idea of the sea monster theme on ti scales though. I suspect that would be pretty pricey.

Re: Lost in the Shuffle
I find the ATR2 and D’Allara both intriguing and both can be purchased for around $200. For me my interest is somewhat diminished by all that black G10 and S30V. I would like to see Navy blue or an olive green G10 appearance on Spyderco knives, any color really besides black. I suspect changing from...

Re: Schempp Bowie back in stock at SFO
I bought one at the SFO a couple of years ago. It’s one of my favorite knives. Mr. Schempp was at Spyderco that day (the seconds sale in November) and he signed my knife on the blade with an engraver. Every time I carry it which is fairly often it makes me smile. It’s a great design and the fit and ...

Re: Steels Friendly & Unfriendly with Sharpmaker Ceramic
I’ve seen a comment from Sal recently on the forum advising someone to be “patient” when sharpening S110 V on the Sharpmaker. Sorry, I don’t remember what thread it was in. I sharpen S110 on the Sharpmaker with what I think are good results. It does take longer than everything else I sharpen. This ...

Re: Can we talk about Amazon?
There is a Spyderco Amazon store. If you search for Spyderco Sharpmaker there’s a link in the sponsored result. It’s in blue text. https://smile.amazon.com/stores/Spyderco/page/081FF140-1E69-46AD-B49D-1C95779D5BC0?ref_=ast_bln Price is $75, you could use your Amazon card and get the genuine item. I ...

Re: Mid-sized Native?
The Native 5 is the mid-sized Native. :) At what point does adding half an inch to a model get redundant? In my unpopular opinion, I do not think the Native needs a variant in every size range from 2.5" up to 4". I would rather see Spyderco invest their time and money into something else ...

Re: Dumb Guys Buy More Knives
I try not to agonize over my purchases. I will never “need” another knife, I am an expert at justifying my purchases to myself. I can see I’m in good company here! For the bike a knife the size of a Man or Ladybug would easily fit in my seat pack with the flat kit. I don’t have one in there yet. I w...

Re: Mule Team Subscription maybe?
I’d be very interested in signing up for such a program. If a fee was involved to hold your place and then you were billed when the Mule shipped with an option to decline if it were too expensive that should help all parties involved with their concerns.

Would the screw be to adjust the tension? 3 D printing is not something I understand but it’s intriguing what can be made.

Re: Dreaming of a LIGHT Tenacious lightweight, constructed like a Millie...
How much blade length do you want in this dream LW? The Rockjumper has less cutting length but is lighter. Several other Spyderco back locks are lighter. (Endura and Delica) It seems as though the insistence on a liner lock will add weight. I think the 3.8 oz of the Tenacious is pretty light already...

Re: Manix 2
Manix 2 for me though I own both. The Manix with G 10 though not a LW is amazing. The SPY 27 LW is a fantastic value IMO. I find the Manix CBBL lock preferable to operate one handed. The PM 2 is a great design and the compression lock is great too. Either knife in S110 V would be great.

Re: Using folders unlocked
I haven’t used a knife this way, and will not. With the exception of the Assist Rescue in a rescue situation. I strongly prefer locking knives to slip joints because I have cut myself more often with slip joint knives. If I’m in an environment where there are folks uncomfortable with knives I would ...

Re: Deep Carry Clip for Rock Jumper?
I think it’s the same clip pattern as the Delica 4. I believe this one from mxg gear will fit. https://mxggear.com/products/custom-made-titanium-deep-carry-pocket-clip-for-spyderco-knife-17 Lynch NW also has a good selection of Spyderco deep carry clips. I have had good results with both. The mxg cl...
