Re: What's the lowest edge retention steel you'd carry?

As a few others have said, 1095 is fine for me. If you mean only stainless, then 154CM.

I like ATS-55 better than VG-10. Takes a finer edge IMO.

Re: price increase?!

I see people who used to buy more Spyderco knives just buying fewer and fewer from dealers. We had MAP and MSRP price increases last year. This year more MSRP price increases and now many knife dealers are charging sales tax. A Spyderco Military S30V Black G-10 which I bought for $103 in September ...

Not I. I don't hunt and have no need to make my knives more difficult to find.

Thanks for the report David.
I like the size and the compression lock. Hoping for another steel.
Good to "see" you my friend. :) It's been a while (for me).

LC200N? M390? What do you have in mind?

:)

Re: Lil' Native Comp Lock – some thoughts after over 3 months of EDC

Agreed my friend. Great little knife that can do 99% of what I need a knife for. Love the blade, the compression lock, and the thick wire clip. I'm not sure but it looks like the Lil' Native uses larger wire for the clip than knives from Taiwan or Japan do.

Nice write up. :spyder:

Re: Been a while since I've run a knife with teeth

I feel like a Salt version of this would really be nice. Might even dethrone the Dfly for me. I agree. I love the Dragonfly as well but I like this little guy better. I never thought I would. I read your title as ‘been a while since i’ve run with a knife in my teeth’. I came in to say me too! Nice ...

Been a while since I've run a knife with teeth

Man, it's been a while since I've run a knife with teeth, and I forgot how much I like it. I've been carrying this Lil' Native now for a couple weeks and I just keep grabbing it because it's my only small serrated knife. Knife has broken in nicely and will drop closed on its own now when unlocked. S...

Re: Why Didn't You Buy A Manix 2 Back Lock?

Too thick and no rounded edges on the handles. All G10 handles should be rounded like the Para 3.

Prefer the thinner blade and handle of the Manix 2. I also prefer steel liners with G10 even if it is not necessary.

Re: C41GP5 native 5 g10 without liners?

Just heard that GPKnives has these in stock now (linerless) but they are in CPM-S30V instead of CPM-S35VN. I just ordered one. I think they are editing the site right now to update things but I imagine it should be back up shortly.

I have one, and love it. The scales are a bit slicker than I usually like but it's not a huge deal. Very nice knife.

Did these go into production already? Would most dealers have this model now?

Re: What are the chances of an M4 Native 5?

I have grown to love the Native 5 and with all of the goodness coming out of Golden, I wondered if we would ever see a Native 5 with CPM-M4? I figure they may have some M4 left from the Para 2 runs. Maybe not.....wishful thinking. :) Since I started this thread, I thought I would chime in and say I...

Call them. Phone is my primary way to contact them. Someone always answers and they get me fixed up. Email also works fine. Use what TomAiello suggested. ^^

Re: Shaman not staying worn in?

Mine needed a slight loosening of the pivot, and has been opening and closing like a dream (the big blade helps this IMO) Sounds like a cleaning for yours is in order, and maybe a polish of the washers? Absolutely unnecessary. You don't need to take a knife apart and polish washers. People need to ...
