I'd go for any steel. In use, I have not noticed a difference between SE H1 and VG10, and I've been using both for more than a year now. I have no preference as long as there are teeth!

I put one on my Mule and Delica, but never got around to it on my other knives. I'm sort of in the middle ground.

Good point about the size of each run. I understand the Firefly being more than the Kiwi because it's a collaboration and has polished G10 and CF, but why is it so mich more than the Vallottan (besides run size)?

Why is the Kiwi so expensive? VG-10 and G10 in a small package shouldn't cost almost as much as the Police, should it? All of the new models except the Tusk seem overpriced by at least $20...

It is totally possible to reprofile a knife with a Dremel without damaging the steel. You have to keep it on a really low speed and even it out with a stone afterwards, but if you don't have a large coarse stone, it can be made to work.

I didn't vote, because I haven't handled the Domino. I had a Southard briefly, but the handle shape didn't click. I like the Sage 1 handle, which the Domino is similar to, so I am definitely interested in trying the Domino.

I use a Grizzly 1x42" belt sander (it also has an 8" disc). Stellar quality, $120 ish, no complaints. They sell a 1x30" belt sander for $50, which should be perfect. For the jig, a large piece of angle iron or similar metal and a large pair of Vicegrips is what I use. The Vicegrips ac...

My cousin recently got a Strider, I think the biggest one (SmF?). Very cool knife, but the handle didn't do it for me.
