I second this sentiment.Larry_Mott wrote:As far as i am concerned, being a conservative luddite, you could just carbon copy the first D'Allara and i'd be a happy camper.
Major concern in Amsterdam was manipulating the lock though, so more scalloping around the ball is #1

Re: Knifecenter Spyderco Endura 4 Foliage Green (Damascus)
This variant will certainly be a learning experience for Spyderco and those who think they want Damascus, but who haven't quite nailed down why they want it... At this point in metallurgy there's no good reason for forge welded laminate blades except for the mystique and aesthetic qualities it offe...

Perhaps you're just not happy with this Damascus knife. Personally I find the modern green scales inconsistent with the ancient looking Damascus blade. I find my orange jigged bone Damascus the most beautiful knife in my Spyderco collection.URL=http://s183.photobucket.com/user/bullhead3989/media/IM...

I agree Diamondback. Some people just like to own poorly made things. I just offered to send it to Nick Shabazz to have him review it. Hope he accepts. He will either like it or not, I don't care as long as he gives his honest opinion about it and I know he will. I appreciate your perspective....bu...

Re: Knifecenter Spyderco Endura 4 Foliage Green (Damascus)
I bought one...and I'm not a fan. The pattern on one side of the blade doesn't begin until about a third of the way up the edge, and on the other side it begins just a bit above the edge. I know it's just a cosmetic complaint, and probably within what Spyderco would call "manufacturing toleranc...

Re: Polestar, who's got one?
Is there much of a significant difference in performance between BD1 and 8Cr13MoV ? I see BD1 has a tiny bit more carbon and some more Chromium so I imagine that it's more rust resistant? I don't imagine there would be all that much difference in cutting performance/edge retention? Do I have that ri...

Anyone else think the price on the enuff is a little high for a small pinned frn fixed with an injection molded sheath. if these were in the $70 range I think they would be a reasonable buy.

Re: VG10
I love VG-10...the price/performance ratio is so appealing, and with good heat treat, blade design, and a flat grind the edge holds for a pretty good while and is so easy to maintain and bring back to function. It's pretty tough and rust resistant, too. Heck, I like AUS8, 440C, ATS-34, and the old J...

"VG-10 is just fine,
S30V most divine,
but M4 is numero uno!"
