Re: The Wire Clip: express your love, hate, indifference
For me, it's good the wire clip isn't on every light weight knife. For instance, if the new Jess Horn had a wire clip, I might have found the perfect knife and not try to find the next one...for a while, at least. I definitely carry my wire-clipped knives the most, but I prefer the small to mid-size...

Re: Almost there...
I didn't realize that collecting was looked down upon (I'm new here obviously) ... :) In my opinion there is nothing wrong with collecting. There does seem to be a more vocal respect held here for folks who use their knife. From what I've seen: Flipping for a profit and bragging about it---definite...

Re: $300 dilemma
Spend the $300 on the Slysz while you have it. It's that nice. Plus it'll be far easier to justify the $160 on the mantra later.

Re: Any Spyderco gifting going on this Holiday season?
Sending a DFly Salt and a Delica to a buddy deployed to Afghanistan. The package is enroute now. He's not really a knife guy, but actually emailed me asking for a suggestion of a knife. He said he wanted a 3" ish blade. I thought about something nicer, but also wanted him to abuse it, if necess...

Re: Dyeing Pink FRN
Found it quicker than I expected, so I'll post tonight. I leave in the morning before daylight and get home after dark, so no hope of better lighting anyway (I hate this dark part of the year). http://i1147.photobucket.com/albums/o560/jclozier/Mobile%20Uploads/786BECF1-0B5F-4A8A-A60D-F99E94C96FB4_zp...

Re: Dyeing Pink FRN
I bought a Squeak on the other Forums which was dyed purple from the the original pink. It ended up on the maroon side of purple. More like a red wine than the PBS dinosaur we all love the hate. I'll try and get a picture up tomorrow evening.

Re: Purpose of a Business?
Hey Vaisforlovers, ... I believe our disagreement is rooted in semantics rather than philosophy. All that said though, I define a business as an entity that exists to create profit...period. That doesn't mean that I don't value those other things or think they should play a role in how a business i...

Re: Purpose of a Business?
Despite many's overwhelming agreement, I still do not believe that money is the purpose of a business. Money is the purpose behind a job. (not work, though) I humbly believe that I make more money by not owning a business. Right now, money is more important to me than owning a business, therefore I ...

Why does a company need to be maintained or grown? Maintenance and growth are not a purpose.

Re: Purpose of a Business?
If you want to boil it down without all the business mumbo jumbo, you could say the purpose of a business is to make happy customers, without that there is no business to speak of... profits, job satisfaction and expansion can only continue if you have satisfied that one criteria. My father created...

I Was driving from Abilene to Ft Worth today and passed through Weatherford. I looked up Mr. Bradley's address on his website, hoping to stop by his business. I was surprised when "the Google" led me to what I can only imagine was his home. Needless to say, I didn't stop by and ring the do...

I had the same issue with my Mantra 1. The pockets had a mesh lining and the mesh grabbed the tip and pulled it open. Ended up with a Filet of Finger that two hours of direct pressure wouldn't stop the bleeding. Thank goodness for the wonders of superglue... Spydergirl88, I hope it didn't byte you t...
