I have no clue , but I very much doubt it would be D2 , its expensive stuff and hard on tooling ( it is afterall a die steel ) .

If a Slippie is your only option , the UKPK beats other slippies , and could be pressed into service . Ditto for the Urban and T Mag . T mag has the annoying habit of picking up coins and crap in the pocket , therefore front pocket carry is out . When I carry it , it rides in the shirt pocket . Slip...

I carry either a Leatherman charge Ti , or a Victorinox Spirit . Comes down to a onehanded blade vs build quality .

Dont have very much time for any of the others , but I would like to see a Skeletool .

With match guns the velocity is pretty low , recoil has to be minimized . Pistols are 470-490 , rifles are 560 -580 . field target guns are @ 850 fps . Higher velocities 100-1200 come at a major cost in accuracy . Generally guys with guns in the high end of the spectrum need heavy /slow pellets , wh...

KOT , I have heard that most of these charges eminate from the Transit Authority PD , true or false ... Has anyone got drilled yet in an incident involving a multitool .... There are folders that lock both open and closed - the Paul knives , and CRKT has a couple . I have a hard time believing an Ur...

Im still kicking my butt for not snagging a Lava . Subcoms are the heat , only wish Papa Spyder had picked up the option on that design . The Subcom family is developing quite a following among knife savy LEOs , and others around these parts too .

I think of a Para as a super caly . Same flat ground goodness , bigger more workmanlike handle . Im a fan of the big handle , smaller blade school of thought . Very versitile and easy to control in many situations . The main thing that turns me away from the Para is the degree to which I love the Mi...

I prefer the G10 myself . VG10 is a super steel , perfect for an EDC . I wish theu had done the Caly III in peel ply CF , like that limited edition Millie , that is a truly super material .

The other advantage it has is that it is hard to inertially open in juristictions where this is an issue (NYC for example ) . Im thinking of getting one for trips to Toronto , and other large burgs where they sometimes get a bit anal about such things .

Topic: Are Framelocks A Bit Tougher Than Linerlocks?

Given propper execution , frame locks have the edge for strength . Wear is less of a factor than on liners due to greater surface area on the blade tang .

Proper execution being a key concept here , liners seem to be the easiest locks to get wrong .
