Re: Production Cruwear and 4V
The difference between Cruwear and 4V is night and day. I've got each of them in both the Shaman and Manix and the edge retention on both in 4V is far superior than Cruwear. I'm actually considering selling my Cruwear Manix towards a future purchase because it's so blah, middle of the road. I'd tak...

Any update on a spot opening up in Golden so this can be produced? I've had my order in with Heinnie since March and it has been delayed multiple times because of Covid.

Shawn's design is very nice. He said he preferred that it be made in Golden. I told him Golden was backed up. Shawn said he would wait as long as it takes. I've been watching production closely to see where we can squeeze it in. sal This seals the deal with me. :) Right? A collaboration between Sha...

Re: Mule Team MT28P CPM SPY27 Revealed!
Navigating Cuscadi's site brings back memories of geocities... I'm guessing the best way to order is look at the pictures, decide what I want, and send them an email? Please advise if there's a more efficient way. You name it, they can do it. Personally I look at pictures all across the internet an...

Re: The DAMAUKPK Project: Damasteel UK Penknife UKPK
Well, we are only halfway through the final Damasteel patern vote, but with more than double the votes of the other two options combined, it looks like the Bjorkman's Twist is going to be the clear winner. We have Ivory G10 scales, and the blade is to be leaf shaped, so I guess I would like to know...

Re: Thicker "harduse" bladestocks / fine tips.. and more - I don´t fully get it
All I can say is that at work cutting polywrap, cardboard, polypropylene straps, and even popping zipties (as long as they're not ridiculously tight) is no problem for my knives with thinner stock (Chaparral, etc), but I feel a lot more comfortable using something thicker like the Para 3, Native 5, ...

Re: Rex 121
I use Spyderco’s with thick blade stock (like the Para and Native lines) as hard use knives so I think it’s a bit silly to pair a high edge rentention/low toughness steel on a knife like the Para 3. With my uses I’d be dealing with a lot of chipping I imagine. I think it makes a lot more sense to pa...

Re: DAMAUKPK: Damasteel UKPK final poll
Excellent finalists. I chose Bjorkman's Twist, but I'd be nearly as happy with Hakkapella. Bifrost looks a bit too similar to the patterns found on the standard damascus Spydercos to me but I don't dislike it in the least bit. I think the forum narrowed it down to some great choices.

Re: Best Spyderco for the $$
Best depends on my needs... but generally I find the;
UKPK (slipjoint edc), Chaparral LW (locking edc), and Para 3 LW (hard use locking edc) to be the best values among the Spyderco lineup.

Re: Damasteel UKPK: penultimate poll
Six choices and not a single one has less than 10% of the total votes. I think that's a testament of just how good Damasteel's patterns are. :D I'm happy to see Bjorkman's Twist doing so well though. It's some beautiful stuff. Here are a couple pics from the Damasteel website and KnifeCenter showing...

Re: How to turn a Delica into a $350+ knife.
Thanks guys, appreciate it. :) I really like how that Delica turned out. You did a really good job. The best part is that thing is a slicing beast. HAP-40 is amazing, I have it on a Pakkawood Dragonfly, a daily user, and gave HAP-40 in a Pakkawood Delica for Father's Day. It really is a great steel....

Re: How to turn a Delica into a $350+ knife.
I mean absolutely no disrespect by this, as i have many knives with custom work that was 5 times the purchase price of the knife (q ball in Z-Max, kettlebell in A11), but: A knife that costs $350, and a $350 knife can be very different things! No offense taken whatsoever! I agree with you 100%. The...
