My MeerKat, Cat, and Techno (not cheap by any means but figured I'd include it for the sake of including all my knives that fit) all fit comfortably and relatively unnoticed. However, if I may make a suggestion, what usually occupies my 5th pocket is my Jester. Not a clipit but with some 550 cord th...

Yup, I got an email from them saying that they were sending out pre-orders (which I don't have ) :) and it now has it's own product page in the catalog so it must be out soon!

Just picked up a MeerKat yesterday and since it is both FRN and a Seki knife, I figured I could talk about it in here without too much fuss. This was my second Spyderco from Japan and it has left me less than pleased. I bought it on impulse from my local knife shop and when I was playing with it the...

Before I actually handled an FRN handled blade, I always thought they'd feel cheap and plasticky, but after trading for and Endura this past week, I must say it is a lot higher quality than expected. While G10 feels solid, FRN feels secure I guess. For me my hand just seems to stick to it, while G10...

Well I just broke out my micrometer and measured the tip right at the bevel at just a hair over half a millimeter thick. This was the same as my endura, jester and cat, while my techno is about .8 or .9 millimeters thick at the point. After learning this, I feel confident in using the knife in the s...

I'd say that the Yojimbo2 is not really meant to be used for heavy use EDC work. The hollow grind combined with the sharp tip and Wharncliffe shape make it seem to me that it is best used for precise incisions with the tip rather than cutting carpets or any other hard use work. Although it does also...

I try to support local shops around me as much as I can and am willing to pay a bit more. With online stores you are buying basically based on a picture and reviews of people on the internet. With brick and mortar shops, you are able to pick up and hold the knives, play with them and see how they fi...

Try switching the screw order to see if it might be the threads on one of the screws. For example, if screws 1 and 3 are tight, but #2 is loose, try moving #2 to the #3 spot to see if it grips. If it doesn't, it's probably that screw. If multiple screws don't engage in the same hole, then it's the ...

http://spydercosource.com/ would probably be your best bet. It has a column on the right that separates the knives based on length, designer, features, handle material, type of lock, where it is made, steel type, and application of knife so looking under lock should work for you. http://spydercosou...

Oh okay, blast. I managed to pick up the only Yojimbo2 that my store had ;_; So that option is probably out. If this knife had a lanyard hole that would be awesome :D

Yojimbo2 Clip Problem

So I recently picked up a Spyderco Yojimbo2 from a local knife shop and have been carrying clipped in my front right pocket for the past week or so. Overall I like the feel of it and it has made it's way into my EDC rotation. However, tonight, I decided I wanted to try switching the clip around to t...

I order mostly online (GPKnives cuz they had a G10 Jester still in stock and advertised it, something that knifecenter failed to do, and Howes) but frequent a brick-and-mortar shop that's at our local mall because the people there are superb and great fun to talk with and are quite knowledgeable abo...

Agreed. I must say, I am loving the hollow grind on my Yojimbo2 and a FFG just wouldn't be as good for what I am using it for. Nor would it look as good, imo :p

I just picked up a Cat some two weeks ago and have been EDCing it since then and it is a fantastic little knife. It came out of the box shaving sharp and the F&F is spot on. I haven't needed to sharpen it yet after two weeks of taking down boxes, opening letters and other daily tasks and the bla...

Well you guys from this thread made me want to pick up the Yojimbo2 much to the dismay of my wallet :P Picked it up on my way home from work for around $150 and I can't complain about the price. First impressions of it seem really well made and the ergonomics are great and it is hefty yet small at t...

My local shop has one in the display case as of around 2015 today but I don't have the money right now ;___; So to anybody in Cupertino, if you pick it I will hunt you down and after I find you probably run away scared cuz you have a Yojimbo and I have a Jester ):
