How will you protect the edge when stored. Does he provide some type of guard?

I occasionally face lather but prefer the bowl.
All my soaps do well on the face except mitchells.

I discovered something. I found out that I like a pinch grip on the razor with the handle sticking straight out and not up or down. I get more control.

Now that I think of it, 90% of the time I'm doing the same. I reckon the blade is best balanced this way.

I 2nd the mitchells.
Most of the others I’ve tried aren’t much better than using none at all.

I know it sounds goofy but If you have a way of stropping a de blade on clean leather, it makes all the difference in how smooth a new blade is (no cuts/weepers/etc), and how many shaves they’ll last. The problem with fixed handle razors is as Vandelay said, adequate edge protection.

Balance point at or slightly forward the pivot.
I like wood handles.
