Here she is in the hand, compared again with a Paramilitary 2 for scale: https://i.imgur.com/pWFsPYW.jpg I did wonder about the practicality of such a long thin blade, but I've actually found it more useful than I had expected. I still think I prefer shorter, stouter blades for day to day tasks, but...

A look at the Calypso Sprint

Hello all, Well I knew absolutely nothing about the original C54 Calypso before the release of this sprint, but on seeing the new version it immediately started calling out to me. A classy 'gents' folder in the style of the Police model you say? Well I'll try some of that! :) I managed to pick one u...

Fantastic video, really enjoyed that! The Bradley has to be one of my favourite Spydies ever. If I had to sell someone on Spyderco and could only show them one knife I think I'd hand them the Gayle Bradley.

I did a bit of a review on mine a while back if that's any help to you - http://www.spyderco.com/forums/showthread.php?56317-My-First-Post-Here-Manix-2-Lightweight-Review I've had it as one of my main users ever since the review and it's never let me down. In fact it's become one of my favourite and...

Thanks marineair, I won't give up just yet! It's tricky as I live in the UK and we are not able to purchase knives via ebay so our options for picking up discontinued runs are more limited. I just ordered the Caly 3 in Super Blue yesterday though so that should sate my appetite for a while! :D

Some great knives you have there mate. I'll never forgive myself for missing out on the SuperBlue Caly 3.5 :( Or the Orange Manix 2 for that matter! I'd say you've chosen your collection very well :)

There is absolutely a need to by both! :D I change my mind several times a month regarding which one I prefer...sometimes I enjoy the way the Manix locks your hand in place, other days I prefer the sleekness of the Paramilitary. Two of my favourite Spydies: http://i1118.photobucket.com/albums/k619/C...

Once a knife gets its hooks in me I seem to have little choice! I occasionally try to limit myself to a specific category...say slipjoints as I can use them more often (living in the UK) but then I find myself later that day frantically jabbing the 'BUY' button on a 3.5 inch locking folder I've fall...

Yeah it's a wish of mine...I love my Manix 2 lightweight and a run in a more exotic steel would be a 'must buy' for me. The BD1 has been performing well for me, but they do say variety is the spice of life :D

opsec is someone that I work with regularly and he does some pretty cool things to keep us all safe. The knife is real although no determinations have been made about it becoming a stock model. As with all things if there is enough demand it will be considered. ;) Thanks for the info. Regarding dem...

Wow! I like that a lot! I hope it's real and we see a proper run of these. I don't normally go in for the 'tactical' look on my blades but it really seems to work well on this knife. My translucent blue is one of my most carried Spydies so I'd definitely pick one of these up.

Well the Southard tops my list...already ordered, just waiting for it to arrive.
