Re: Benchmade/worksharp edge maintenance tool
If you mean the Field Sharpener then it's very useful. It's pretty much all I use anymore. Get the original yellow non Benchmade model and save $10.

Re: Why no CE Salt 2 / Pacific Salt?
I'm going to guess that it has something to do with the extra time and expense. Is been stated in the past that grinding H1 into FFG would add a lot of time and expense and I think the combo edge would be similar. I would, however, love to have a combo edge Pacific Salt. I'm hopeful that we'll see t...

Re: Left handed
Does anyone else who is right handed actually prefer the lefty model Para 2? I'm a bit of an oddball in the fact that I don't really like the Para 2 that much to begin with, but in the past I have owned several of them and the lefty model was by far my favorite to use normally and I liked the righty...

Re: China and tariffs
Hi C99c, We're always increasing our us plant. 2018 was the best year ever for Golden made. Lock-backs with no finger choils have their challenges. I'm working on a model that addresses that question. What do you call "simple steels"? sal Sal, I'm referring to the 440 variants, 154cm, AUS...

Re: China and tariffs
Anything that results in more US made models (not just more special versions of the PM2/3, Military, etc) is a plus in my book. Lockbacks with no choils and some "simple" steels, please.

Re: Moving UP in daily carry size?
I've found that how thin a knife is and how deeply it carries affects my comfort in carrying it more than weight and overall closed length. I wish Spyderco would switch the Salt back locks over to the Delica 4 / Endura 4 three screw pocket clip so aftermarket deep carry clips could be fitted. The P...

Re: Where is the most "pro Knife paradise" for Knife lovers on Earth?
LOL Bloke. Georgia has statewide knife law preemption and all forms of knives are legal to own and carry. Other than restrictions on a few government buildings and a blade length limit for schools, knife carry is a non issue here. EDIT TO ADD: For carry of blades over 12" a Georgia Weapons Lic...

Re: Employment
What if you work at a super market or grocery store and their policy is to allow employees to use flimsy box cutters for utility cutting but you know better than that and own a Spyderco Endura or Delica or Military or Paramilitary or other folder and know for sure your knife will out do the flimsy ...

Re: Employment
As a Georgia resident with friends and associates in the emergency medical field (I was recently at a class where out of thirty people I believe I was one of only two attendees not so employed) I know that some companies do prohibit "weapons" carry while on the clock. However, I have not s...

Re: Do you think the delica is still relevant?
Most of the people I know that carry a Delica just want a handy, generally useful knife that sharpens easily and doesn't immediately lose it's edge. Most don't own a bunch of knives and couldn't care less about about the newest, bestest thing on the internet. It punches way above it's weight class, ...

Re: Endura Wharncliffe
The best thing I saw in that thread from Bladeforums was the following part of one of Sal's posts:
" We're working on a 3.5" blade version of the Endura/
delica series"
That sounds great as it'll hit my sweet spot size wise. Just no choil, please.

Re: LC200N Pacific Salt
Given the differences in LC200N vs H1, is there any chance that we will see a Pacific Salt combo edge offering in the future?
The question came up during a recent fishing trip with people that carry Salt series knives daily when I mentioned the upcoming LC200N knife.

Re: New Estwing knives and more!
I use Estwing tools everyday. I would love to see them expand to include a small cutlery line. I'd also love for them to fire whoever signed off on the above products being released. They have a well earned reputation for building simple, quality tools. Why the **** would they offer something that l...

Re: I love the Spyderco Endura
My first Spyderco was an older Endura (this was mid 1990s). I had previously carried and used one of the original Gerber EZ Outs (?) and while I had no complaints with it, I instantly liked the Endura design better. It was used a lot daily and was replaced with a Delica when it was confiscated by a ...
