- Topic: Extra 600 Tax Return This Year?

There's a $500 tax credit in the bill right now but the Republican leadership wants it out because people who don't make enough to pay $500 in income tax will still get it if they pay that much in payroll taxes. No telling at this point if it will make it. Note - tried to stay neutral in reporting t...

Yep, my first Spyderco, a Delica 2, was from an NTSA confiscation auction. I too, felt bad for the folks who lost them. I don't know where these particular ones came from but as the surrounding auctions were for lots of jewelry, I guessed it might be from drug seizures. further down though, there ar...

Would you do this?
Just bought three Spydies on ebay from the Pennsylvania Surplus Property Program. (drug bust confiscations?) There's no doubt that uncertainty often makes the buyer more optimistic than he should be and this poor photo leaves the condition of these knives very uncertain. http://i.ebayimg.com/12/!BLe...

Regarding stores that charge before they ship- I'm a retired CPA. It is a violation of law to charge (as opposed to reserving the funds) the buyers card before shipping. You can contact the Federal Trade Commission to report the violation. Threatening to do this may be more effective than actually d...

Used my M4 several times in the shop today and the S90Vs arrived just in time to cut up my apple. I missed the first two (bought a factory 2nd M4), but I'm surprised that the S90V didn't sell out the first day. The description talks about a 600 piece run and the combination of a more generally desir...

I learned a long time ago that in an auction it's a good idea to write down your top bid so you don't accidentally go too high in the heat of the moment. Most things go high on ebay, but if you enjoy the bidding process the time spent can be fun and if you're patient you can score some good deals. T...

I asked the same question a week ago. There were no confirmed off-the-shelf solutions. I identified a couple of possibilities in that thread, but now I think I've found a very cool solution. As soon as I receive the mystery item and confirm that it works, I'll report back here. Edit add: The descrip...

My Adventura got me. First time in years I've cut myself with a pocket knife. I'd never had an s-curve blade before and foolishly ran a cloth along the bottom of the blade as I was cleaning it. At the point where the blade changes from concave to convex, it cut right through the cloth and skin. I ma...

Thanks for the info, Sal. I wrote Mike and will post the information. While one could produce a Kydex/Concealex universal sheath for Mules, all of them that I have seen are molded to the end of the handle as well as the blade. Since the blade is universal, but the handle is custom, I'm guessing that...

Off the shelf sheath for Mules
Has anyone found one? Here are two that look like they would work from premiumknifesupply.com. Has anyone tried either of these or any other sheath that the Mule fits snugly in? http://premiumknifesupply.com/catalog/sh34.jpg http://premiumknifesupply.com/catalog/Sheath1.jpg I'm about to order the fi...

Speaking of peanut butter (ask and ye shall receive), I roasted and ground my own peanut butter for decades until I discovered Trader Joe's crunchy PB a few years ago. Pour off most or all of the oil on top before mixing. It is the best peanut butter I have ever tried and one of the cheapest as well.

I'm contemplating two uses for the Spyderhole with regard to the many Mules I'll be accumulating. The first is a display board on which each knife would be supported by two short dowels, one through the hole. This would work well with collections of any single model folder as well. A short dowel of ...

Hi, Netsquash. I just used my CPM M4 to cut up chicken and vegetables, making chicken soup for my sick daughter. I washed and dried it several times and the blade has some stained areas. My plan was to make the M4 a wood shop knife and I'm now thinking of getting one of the S90V ones to dedicate to ...
