Re: Why did the D'Allara discontinue?

The D'Allarra is a beast to carry, you really have to love the knife to put up with it (which I do); it just isn't for your average ELU. I have to say this: out of all my Spyderco, the D'Allara is the most comfortable for me; the ergonomics are without parallel. For this reason, I am super excited t...

Re: Mr. Sal, a Lil Temp 2 question

I'm pretty excited about the contoured frn scales, hopeful that it will have D'Allara-esque comfort.

Re: If you could bring one discontinued Spyderco back?

The Centofante 4.

What would I change? I would love to see a Cento 4 with burgundy g10 scales with skeletonized liners, ffg vg10 blade (keep the thin blade, please), and, a compression lock.

Sign me up for 10!

Re: Anyone else here a wharncliffe guy?

IMHO, the best wharncliffe Spyderco made is the Centofante 4, if you can find one, buy it without hesitation!

Outside of Spydieland, a workhouse of a wharncliffe edc is the Kershaw "needs work", a very affordable knife that can take a beating.

Re: your best spydie

If I look hard enough, I can find something "wrong" with almost all my Spyderco knives, but, there are a few whose fit and finish surpassed my (reasonable) expectations: 1. My Para 2 in digi-camo is flawless, I couldn't find anything wrong with it. In terms of fit and finish, it is the bes...

Re: How About A Larger Scale Dodo Model?

My EDC combo for years was a black PE first gen Dodo paired with a g10 Delica 4, so, needless to say, I'm always beating a drum in the Dodo camp. Count me in for a Dodo Xl! I do have a hard time visualizing how to keep the same "fits-like-a-glove" ergonomics, but I've been surprised before...

Re: Delica with Foliage Green G-10 scales

I love the idea of a g10 Delica sprint, the foliage green one holds a permanent spot in my carry rotation.

I wouldn't mind smurf blue, but, brown g10 scales would be super sweet, IMHO.

Re: go to edc combo?

I carry two knives every day; one clipped in my right pocket, and another loose in my right pocket. Here is my current carry rotation from which I choose: Cllipped: -Paramilitary 1 PE -Manix 2 LW (translucent blue) PE -A.T.R. SS PE -Lil Temp PE -D'allara DP CE -Dodo black PE -Kershaw needs work Deep...

Re: Odd question: Discontinued Spyderco D`llara

Here is my question (it is kindof odd and a bit emotional): While obviously I do not have the actual knives to do any cutting chores with, or physically feel, do you see anything inherently weird or wrong with me carrying the pictures and the book with their pictures, around with me, as long as it ...

I was going to keep this to myself, but since you brought it up, my Kiwi 4 had a couple of issues too: -The bevel was uneven -The wire pocket clip was badly warped right of the box -There is a slight recurve to my edge as well Lock up and all other fit and finish couldn't be better. Out of the 40 or...
