Why was the G10 Crossbill discontinued?

I bought several of the G10 Crossbills when they were readily available, to give away as gifts. I kept a plain edge version for myself. Later I started looking for a serrated version, and I couldn't find them anywhere. Luckily I got one not too long ago, but paid a pretty penny for it. Is there a re...

Is there a complete list of the PM2 variants?

I bought a PM2 when they first came out, but never carried or used it. Recently I saw the light so to speak, and have been using and carrying it regularly. In the past month I bought 6 different PM2s....I think I caught the bug. Now I'm curious as to exactly how many different versions have been mad...

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?

I haven't been on the forum in a few years, and haven't bought any Spydercos since 2012 other than a couple of Byrds. In the past month I bought: Dragonfly H1 hawkbill, Delica Wharnie VG10 in plain edge and serrated, Wharnie Delica S30V, orange H1 super hawkbill. This weekend I bought two Paramilita...

Re: screwing color anodized washers to your knife, what the....?!?

if you're talking about a certain ebayer from the great white north, then yeah, I know what you're talking about. Seems really strange, and I don't know of anyone who actually would do this to their knives. Seems like someone just trying to make a buck, even though the seller probably has good inten...

Re: People still like Benchmade?

I haven't posted to this forum in a long time, as I've been away from Spydercos since around 2005 or so. But now I'm back as I'm finally getting my first spydie in over a decade, a PM2. Anyway, I love my Benchmades. I probably have 200+ knives from them. However my love affair seems to have waned si...

I'll just leave it alone for now. I don't want to run the risk of ruining it.

Has anyone removed the glossy finish on CF scales?

My CF harpy is starting to show little cracks in the finish around the scews, pivot, and lanyard hole. None of my other carbon fiber scaled knives have the same kind of glossy finish that Spyderco has put on this knife. Is there any way to remove the finish and make it a more natural matte finish? I...

I've been a Sebenza fan for a few years. Started with a small regular. Now I have four sebbies, a one-piece Mk VI, and a Green Beret. The Sebenza: This is a legend amongst folders. One of the first to popularize the now en vogue frame-lock. One of the first to popularize Ti frames. The first to intr...

Nice Firetac, KnifeCollector!

I think Mr. Hinderer makes beautiful knives. My last custom I picked up was this beautiful GenII Flame, S30V with flipper. Still miss the firetac, though.

Good luck to you and your lady, Hannibal. As a reformed smoker, I can attest to the difficulty in kicking the habit. Especially the social/psychological aspect of the addiction. It's not so much the nicotine, but a combination of it plus the physical pleasure involved in smoking cigarettes. Not to m...

I recently received a waved Endura, and after reading this thread it got me thinking. Aloha Daywalker,

I think I do have an old WH avatar floating around on one of my 'puters. Will have to look. I believe it's a pic from the Olivier version of the film, the shot where lightning flashes behind Cathy when she bemoans about being Heathcliff. I'll get back to ya, bro. :)

I too love the G10 Harpy, and cannot wait to add a CF PE to the collective. Wonder how many G10's were made, and in what steel. Mine is ATS-55.
