My first spydie was a calypso jr. FRN, and I would twist my wrist, so that when I took the knife out of my pocket, and held it naturally, it was positioned so that the tip faced up... then I did I quick flick, while holding on to the blade. But I found the tip down a little fussy when thumb opening,...

**whispers** the delica

Yah, the knife looks just fine, but it feels as if the clip is designed to dig into my palm... and it just doesn't fit my hand

**cries** Yah... it's been hard... but a few spydies sure would help ease the paint **wink wink** hehe, nah, I don't care... the most I could be out is $10... but it would be worth it to save a few of you guys, and to get a chance to try out a calypso jr. Hmmmmm... I think I'll go check out ebay som...

Knifesite.com Blows

Yah, so it turns out that all those cheap ladybug II's are gone, yet just a couple days ago I was told that there were 50 of them. Also, the site says that Calypso Jr.s are in stock, and those aren't either. So, while I was on the phone, I'd figured I'd ask how much my return was going to be. $60.04...

Hmmmmm... I don't know why my last post didn't go through... but I also wanted to know if the clip, since it's tip up, gets in the way of your hand, while holding it (on the mouse). I have vowed never to buy a frn delica, because the clip dug into my hand, and I told the salesman to put it back, bec...

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

AG! I just lost a message I typed out for like 1/2 hour, because of some crazy error. **deep breaths** Anyway... the just of the message was a whole bunch of questions about the Mouse, and some comparisons to other knives, which are like half the price. I returned my calypso jr. due to bladeplay, an...

I'm not putting down spyderco... in fact, my plan is to order myself a new spydie (probably the same one) if I can return the other one

but it is kinda discouraging, as this is my first real knife

No,I did not use it for any hard cutting; the hardest would be cardboard, string, and little ties on packages. The play didn't start until about a week of using it, but the blade could always move right and left about 2-3 mm in the closed position. If I do send it in to the spyderco place, won't I h...

Very disapointed

Yah, so after a week with my Calypso Jr.Lightweight. It has developed up and down blade-play in the open position.

I'm not too sure what to think of Spyderco now, after one of their most raved about models turns out to be a shotty product.

My first spydie arived!

Yep, just 2 days ago the Calypso Jr. FRN PE found a new, happy home in my right, front pocket. I love it... but I have a couple questions 1. if I practise sharpening it over and over, will it signifigantly wear away the blade, and ruin the shape? 2. it has about 3 mm of side to side play when it's f...

Hmmmm... it's been just over 3 weeks now to get my 4 day delivey package. It should be on it's way from Oregon now... yah, my strictly Canadian shipment was in Oregon. So, the 2 times I've phoned fedex, they never got back to me, and it's kinda bugging me. Yah, so I'm phoning to talk to a manger on ...

Whoa... these are the EXACT 2 knives I was deciding on getting... it turned out I got NEITHER, and favored for a Calyso Jr. Lightweight. The lightweight Calypso Jr. (frn) has the VG10 steel which has been raved so often as the "sharpest knife out of the box." (The SS calyso Jr. has an AUS ...
