So a Ronin 3 and yojimbo 3 in maxamet? I'm good with my yojimbo 2
I missed out on the S90V, and I think the Maxamet is better steel.
Better for what?

Re: What do you want to see more of from Spyderco?

With regard to the shaman, what feature would you be willing to part with as a cost saving measure? Would you still be interested in a flat scale version if it were under $150? This seems like the most straightforward modification to cut cost. You are correct. Flat scales would be the easiest way t...

Re: What do you want to see more of from Spyderco?

In addition, I would like to see more Natives, Shamans and Calys, which I can afford. Under $150 please. I love Shaman, but $180 is no go.
I am working for contract manufacturer. Customer saying, if you want to keep the job, figure out how to cut the cost. Spyderco need to do the same.

Re: What do you want to see more of from Spyderco?

Another sprint run of the massively underrated "R." I'm not particularly interested in a skeletonized blade, and can take or leave the skeletonized handle, it's the overall size/ergos/bladeshape I'm after. Pick stolen from Mr. blonde... https://spydercollector.files.wordpress.com/2012/04/...

Ohhhh....a Sharpmaker with a fully adjustable base would be the best. Make it with two 90 degree compasses at the base so you can easily see and adjust the rods to different angles.
Your edgePro will cost peanuts to compare with this :)

Forum Dodo will be epic. Dark green 204P. :) But I will take almost any color, almost any steel. XHP would be nice with dark burgundy polished G10 and ceramic ball. PE and one SE for Joe :)

I can also get behind the idea of a forum knife that is outside of the norm. Swick FB would be awesome, or even a smaller knife like the Dragonfly or Ladybug.

Brian,
I didn't see this. But I didn't try to trade for years, since I found them not very effective.

how tough are native scales to replace? I’m thinking of getting some custom carbon fiber or maybe wood scales for this once I get it delivered.

I've had good luck at Bladeforums, also.

I think you need to pay to start a thread,
You need to pay only if you want to sell. Something like $30 for a year.

Re: Native 5 s90v vs Native 5 s110v vs Sage 5

If you're not expert at sharpening, I'd advise the Sage5. I am using S110V Native5 since they came out in 2013. I do not see a difference in reprofiling of S90V or S110V. It just take a little longer that S30V. Of cause you need to have appropriate tools. Without diamond stones I would not even sta...

Re: Native 5 s90v vs Native 5 s110v vs Sage 5

if price were no issue, I'd get the fluted CF Native. +1 CF Fluted N5 is my favorite knife. I love Natives and have about a dozen of them. Still CF Fluted is the cream of the crop. Beautiful, light and great ergos. S90V is a great steel. Frankly I do not see a difference between S90V and S110V. Sho...

Re: best place to trade a knife without getting ripped off

In my experience I found trading not efficient. It is much easier to sell and than buy.
But you always can try Trading forums at Blade Forum. It didn't cost you anything.

Re: Crazy deals @ Sierra and other places

Used Spydercos ? Apart ebay and bladeforums, anywhere else that's good to look for used Spydercos ? (That's if you want to divulge it!!!). Looking especially for serrated. Thanks in advance. Be careful. There are a lot of fakes out there. Once I bought a fake from ebay seller with 100% positive fee...
