BTTT. I am still tentatively planning to be there. I have to check out a strange noise in the car, and hope it is not something that will eat up my discretionary funds.

Of course! I carry firearms daily. About 50-ish hours a week, it is a SIG P229 in a duty holster, and the rest of the time I usually tote the same weapon concealed. I am required to provide my own duty weapons, and am blessed that a pistol which fits my hands very well, and points superbly for me, i...

PoBear thinking about swimming; this is as wet as he as ever gotten voluntarily. He wants to play with my nephew, who is holding the inflatable palm tree. PoBear is a Husky mix.

I have the time off from work, and Blade is always is always on my "want to do" list, but as with previous recent years, I am waiting to see if certain friends will be there, before I decide to go. This year, it seems very few, if any, close friends have made up their minds thus far. For m...

They go MUCH higher on evilbay, so yes, that is a good price. IIRC, that was about the MSRP price when they were being produced.

Try "back cut" in your search engine, or go directly to jamesakeating.com . See a copy of Bill Bagwell's book for a VERY good explanation, and still photos.

Michael, it is good to see you back with Spyderco! I have been scarce on this forum lately, so I just saw this thread. My Yojimbos don't get much carry time, largely because I bought them after the discontinuation, so they were somewhat collectible, but my Ronin rides in a certain spot under my poli...

The one I have handled, and most lusted for: Les Baer Thunder Ranch Special. A local Baer dealer usually has one or two in stock. Yes, my Baer TRS 1911 pistol, which has been 100% reliable for me, does enter into my thought process here. Actually, if having an AR built, with cost no object, I would ...

I broke a side window with no problems, but of course, side windows shatter VERY easily. Interestingly, a co-worker's forearm got a bit of "spray" of pieces of the glass, and some of them stuck into his arm. His injuries were very minor.

For a larger fixed blade, I cannot think of anything Spyderco can offer that has not been offered already (Perrin, Temperance, and the Hossom collaborations) or is on the horizon, in the case of the 5" Temperance, that could not fill the role described in the opening post. FWIW, I wear a police...

I remember the gadget that started the Spyderco name, though only from pictures, not seeing the actual item. From a base, there extended several pairs of arms, which ended in small clamping devices. I thought it looked a bit more like a crab than a spider, but it looked like it would be handy for a ...

I do not regularly wear a knife while sleeping at home, but have come home so exhausted that I just manage to shed the uniform and crash, still wearing a Ronin in neck knife mode. There have been times while sleeping outdoors or in unsecured environments that I have worn a neck knife intentionally. ...

I don't rotate my basic carry knives; when I reach for a knife, I want to know exactly how it works and how long the blade, without having to pause and think about it. While my basic two carry knives are not serrated Spydies, I keep a serrated Mili in my Jeep, a couple of serrated Rescues in my work...
