Re: Just lost my grail M390 PM2.

I bought my 15 year old (14 at the time) a camo/DLC PM2 last year. The very first time he carried it out of the house, he walked up to the game store here in town, about 8 blocks away and through a park. On the way home he decided to stop in the park...to do some parkour...in the dark...in February....

Re: Batteries For Flashlights And Other Toys?

For my Lumintop and Noctigon stuff, I use Samsung 30Q 18650 flat top because they're rated for the highest drain. I also have some Samsung 35E and 25R in storage but they're not currently being used in anything. I use Efest 18350 1200mAh and EBL 18500 1600mAh with various short battery tubes on the ...

Re: Would you be interested in "that" kind of Paramilitary 2 (different blade) ?

I'm fine with any PM2 blade shape that doesn't change the size or alignment of the hole/ramp/choil. A saber grind would be fine, but I'd prefer something closer to the waved blade shape minus the wave.

Looked like some sort of FRN scaled hollow saber ground SE sheepsfoot. Some sort of rescue model.
That appears to be a rare first generation no-choil Rescue C14SBK in G-2 steel. They added the choil somewhere around 1999.

Re: Fake PM2 M390 Bento Smurf?

I'm not sure the box in the photos originally went with that knife. The knife appears to have the pre-CQI plunge grind angle, which means it should be from either the 2012 or 2016 runs, but the date code on the box is from the 2019 run.

Black liners on the DLC Para 3 is a recent CQI change. Your knife is real.

Re: Did Anyone Purchase Cold Steel December 2020

Between myself and my two oldest boys, our household was on a bit of a Cold Steel buying frenzy in December...three Wasps, two Counter Point XLs, two War Hawks, two Gladius Machetes, Royal Kukri Machete, S35VN Immortal, AUS8A Ti-Lite, Luzon.

Re: What the heck is this??

It's genuine, it's been heavily customized, and it's a pre-CQI example with the more slanted plunge grind.

Re: Not sure what this is.

That's not a fake Spyderco, just a mislabeled knife. He probably bought the whole lot at an estate sale and has no idea what he's selling. The knife was in a Spyderco box, therefore it's a Spyderco as far as he's concerned. Even if he does know what he's selling and is acting in bad faith, simply mi...

In the listing, the seller specifies exactly which buyers are getting the item of significant value, in compliance with the rules. FIRST GRAB BAG ORDER GETS 1 OF 2 SPYDERCO KNIVES!!! (All others are FROST CUTLERY) FIRST BUY 5 BONUS LOT GUARANTEED to include 10 DIFFERENT FOLDING KNIVES INCLUDING THE ...

Re: Not sure what this is.

eBay has rules for grab bag listings, but it looks like the seller is following the rules... "Listings that offer an opportunity to win an item by chance or contest are not allowed. This includes mystery items, giveaways, lotteries, sweepstakes, random drawings, raffles, and contests. Listings ...

Re: Something different i'm going after

Ganzo is generally considered a bad actor in the knife industry. They clone designs by Spyderco, Benchmade and others with impunity, even going as far as taking a stolen axis lock design and cramming it into a stolen PM2 pattern. Sal had a bad encounter with Ganzo employees in the past, at a trade s...

Re: 'nother fake PM2

It's definitely fake. The print is wrong, there's no jimping on the thumb ramp or choil, the screws are wrong, the clip is wrong, Sal's mark is hilariously crooked and in the wrong place, etc. That's probably the worst fake I've seen in a while.

Re: fake PM2 with conflicting info

I'm pretty sure eBay is just ignoring reports lately. I report around 100 fake Spydercos per month, and about 1/3 of those are counterfeit PM2s. I haven't seen a single listing get pulled in the past two months.

That guy sells tons of fake PM2s. I've reported his listings many times, but eBay doesn't do anything about it.

I would be incredibly cautious about buying a Spyderco at a gun show. Around here, the gun shows are absolutely loaded with counterfeits.

Naperville - you have a history on BF which brings your impartiality into question. History? Impartiality? I was attacked on BF for not posting pictures from my knife collection to prove that I had 80 knives. I was attacked in general discussion and whine and cheese. Blade Forums is pure garbage. T...
