Sweet! I'm pretty sure I'll get there one day. My plan is to stop there and in Boise to visit CRK while on a motorcycle trip, on my BMW R1200GS that I don't have yet.

I'm so hating you right now! All those are on my list! The BRG's looks especially good thanks for pics!

What do you think of that Schempp Rock? The grind isn't as elegant as the Rock Salt it seems.

Good to know it's such a great blade! Many consider the Caly 3 and 3.5 to be Spyderco's "thesis" knife, meaning it represents the company's total philosophy of knifemaking in one model. I think it's easily the best general purpose EDC knife out there. But it's almost too well thought out t...

2011 looks like a great year for Spyderco!

http://youtu.be/TA96j6pIFQ0 This link is probably a repost but I just watched it. WOW I want most of these prototypes and that's a first for me! And that's in addition to several models that just came out this year already. Also I have yet to get any Taiwanese :spyder: and I hear they're pretty awe...

Military is an all time favorite knife of mine and the quintessential Spyderco model IMO. I am right handed but can open and close a lefty Military, and I've been thinking of getting one just for fun. But I do not have a right handed one right now and that will come first. Use it well!

Update: I expected I wouldn't like this place and it didn't fail me there. Stopped by We Be Knives on pier 39. Tiny place. Didnt like how many of the knives were on a magnetic rail wall. There were a few cases and the only on I looked at had about 20 WH knives and two small Sebenzas. First mistake m...

I also live in Rocklin and I have found nothing decent any where close. There are a few large box stores that have a minimal selection of quality knives, but that is about it. I have been to the We Be Knives in San Francisco in the Fisherman's Wharf area. They have an excellent selection, but are s...

Crap. Looks like my Para 2 S90V is missing a washer.

Is it all the Manix 2's or just the sprint runs?

Are you going to be doing much of this "back hand stab kinda thing"? I've never used a knife "hard" so I've never worried about locks failing of any kind. Spyderco has trusted the lock back since the beginning and I've always liked it. The blade is strong enough for me, FFG makes...

Paramilitary 2 washers

I see one bronze washer and either one is missing or the other is a recessed teflon washer. I can see something white in there. Am I missing one by any chance?

Also, the paper in the box says it has a pivot bushing. Like a Sebenza? Any other Spydies have this now?

Edit...I see that you are in Rocklin...good luck with that one. There was a surplus store in Placerville that had some great deals. Unfortunately, I purchased them out this past year. I was in Santa Cruz this weekend. Only one I know is "We Be Knives". Located at Pier 39, in the heart of ...

I heard Sal quoted saying H1 is the best steel in SE or in SE the best performing steel overall, something like that. Why is that?

Salt for the beach

Getting ahead of myself as it's not really beach season at all but I was in Santa Cruz yesterday and the beach was sunny and warmish so I was inspired. There are a lot of Salt knives to consider. I love my Spyderhawk SE but doubt it's usefulness in a beach recreational environment. My Salt 1 PE is p...
