Re: Spyderco Manix 2 CPM-SPY27 Cobalt Blue FRCP C101PCBL2
I'm waiting for screw construction before I buy any more Manix LWs. Sold my few I had in the last purge. None until screws for me. Hopefully they change over before this one. Yes, I hear you steelcity16. It is time. No need to keep treating the Manix 2 like this. It's 2020, and time for screw const...

Re: Alert Only Thread - Manix 2 Lightweight CPM-REX45 Burnt Orange FRCP C101PBORE2 Sprint Run
You got one! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on rex45! [EDIT: Sorry for going off topic in this "alert only thread"! Had already posted my reply before realizing that] Yes I did! :) And actually the by far most important reason (if not even the sole one) was that I wanted to try REX45 an...

Re: Could someone please post pics of Shaman, Manix and Native next to each other?
Big fat Thank You! The Manix *is* slightly different in shape. It has a mini thumb ramp, and one extra wave or whatever you call it for in between inded and middle finger. And a rounder butt. But the Shaman truly is a Native on steroids. :) And since I love the Native... The Chief isn't ...

Re: Reveal 6 Live!
I wonder which Mules 29 & 30 are going to be. Goes from 28(Spy27) to 31(s45vn). Any guesses? 15v? Some kind of Damasteel? VG10W? Maybe serrated Mules of Spy27 and S45vn? Good catch, PStone! I missed that. When I first got to that page, I could have sworn that it said that this Mule (...

I'm going to have to vote the other way, Tucson Tom. I think it's a typo on the box, and that the knife is still being made with FRCP. :) . . . . . Sal?

Re: Manix2 LW Rex45
As a matter of fact is it possible to distinguish between FRN and FRCP based on appearance alone? Thanks. No, not that I know of bchan. If I recall correctly. One of the reasons that FRCP was chosen for the Manix. Was it's ability to be made translucent. Like the Spyderco Manix 2 Knife Translucent ...

How could you sell a Manix!? . . . . . I'm bumping you down a couple of notches, on my 'smart guys' list.

Re: Manix2 LW Rex45
As of this afternoon. Sunday, September 6th, 2020.
Between myself, and a couple of friends of mine. We have 4 different Date Codes so far, on this knife.
:spyder: Dates codes so far:
LS
FT
GT
HT
Not a bad thing. Just an observation, and an interesting one at that! :D

Re: Manix2 LW Rex45
I noticed the FRN vs FRCP discrepancy as well. I was going to call, asking about that, but I didn’t get around to it this week. It’s worthy of note, though, that the Native FRN and the Manix FRCP are still slightly different shades of burnt orange. I plan to post a picture comparing them to old and...

Spyderco always seems to be full of surprises! :D Mine arrived today, with Date Code 'LS' (Dec. 2019) A friend of mine got his in today as well. His is Date Coded 'GT' (July 2020) What could be considered even more surprising? The box is labeled: "Manix Pln Frn REX 45" Historica...

Re: Manix 2 flytanium cage opinions?
It just seems harder to use than either a compression or axis lock. It's a tough call, to say whether it's worth it or not. I've bought a few over time. I like them. I put a copper one on my burnt orange Rex 45 Manix for example. They go good together. A few of the plain Ti, on some of the other on...
