Re: Spyderco Mosquito Sprint

I believe it to be fact. It was stated on this forum, by Sal himself. He has no reason to lie. haha obviously no one on this forum would dare to deny the words from the man himself, which is why If you ever some across that statement in the annals of this forum I would be very appreciative to see t...

Re: Spyderco Mosquito Sprint

Sal made them as gifts for an Amsterdam meet, long ago. Hey just curious if you know this to be fact... I've been wishing for a mosquito for my ladybug collection for about 12 years and the only one I ever saw for sale was ridiculously priced on ebay. In all that time I never heard anyone say anyth...

Re: Pattern on G10 - How do they do it?

This is "peel ply" g10. It gets that texture through its own manufacturing and production process. The raw sheet of G10 has a thin layer of plastic that contains the texture on one side. It would appear smooth on both sides until that texture layer is removed, or "peeled" off. A...

I remember when the Para 3 in Cruwear came out. It was all I could do to get 1 of those when initially offered!

Re: Spyderco Dealer/Distributor Exclusives from JAN 2018 to MAR 2020 (2+ years - 27 months)

Thank you Sir! :spyder: I don't see the Manix2 CPM-M4 Satin Blade Natural G-10 BladeHQ (USA) When did it drop? I can't remember if it was just before, or after the DLC version. None of the BHQ M4 DLC came before their satin bladed counterparts. If i remember correctly, the satin was Nov of 2017, th...

Great collection Drahkis! I didn’t even know they made a Carbon Fiber Ladybug, would love to see an updated version of that!

Re: Spyderco Models From 2010 & Earlier That You Wish To Return

Kris. That's a very interesting request VASH  That KRIS model over the years has had one of the most enduring cult followings of about any the Spyderco "specialty" models. I regret that I passed on two trades where I could have had one of those. It's one of the very few from that pe...

Re: Large slipjoint Spydie, anyone?

Not sure if anyone mentioned the C131. Terzuola Slipit is listed just a tad longer blade length than the PITS. For the OP I think the aftermarket price may be prohibitive, but I threw it in there anyway.

Re: 2020 Spyderco Product Guide

The Galley “V” is an old product from former years and long time out of production. As I saw it in the PDF I really was happy to see it again and I was gutted about the fact it wasn't in the price list. Considering that the galley V is functionally the exact same sharpener as the gauntlet at a diff...

Re: BladeHQ M4 Jade Dodo

Ergos? I've read some accounts of the great ergos of the Dodo allowing for a full 4 finger grip. I'm wondering what size hands it's best suited for. With those grooves I can't imagine that it fits any hand size. So for those of you who have one or have handled one - comfortable for your hand and wh...

Re: Bob Lum info #'d C46PS...new guy ;)

I've seen some of the oldest models with collector numbers. I'm pretty sure some knives were just done in numbered runs, but i don't think it predates the collector club. There was a guy on facebook selling an entire collection from one collector that included many of the pre C-SKU experimental kniv...

Re: Who wants a Dodo?

I won't say no to any SE Dodo unless the price is beyond the stratosphere  . I think that M-4 is an excellent steel choice but if they do another Spyderedged version I would prefer it to be made with XHP instead. It's been proven that XHP is a good steel for serrated edges. I can't think ...
