Re: Sharpmaker + Delica Sharpening Help

The tip generally sees more use, so it will usually require more work. If you don't want to work the tip separately, you're going to waste a bunch of steel on the rest of the edge, grinding the entire edge till the tip catches up.

More pressure is rarely the answer.

Re: M390

I'd be surprised if they *didn't* come with a Para 3 in m390, after the success of the other runs... But it may not be their call... Iirc, that was a distributor exclusive, that they happened to buy the entire run of. Historically, once you sign on for an exclusive, that config is reserved for you b...

Re: M390

Apparently, M390 is difficult to source consistently... ZT tried to use it in some production models, and then switched to 204p, citing availability issues.

Re: KnifeCenter Exclusive CPM-Cruwear Paramilitary 2

It's a bit off topic, but anyway: IIRC there has been an official statement from Spyderco that the steel 's official name is Cru-Wear - nevertheless the etching on the blade says Cruwear. That's just to keep your searches confusing... Similar to the multitude of ways many online shops fo...

Re: Sharpmaker + Delica Sharpening Help

ZDP requires a light touch!
With your description of the burr you got on VG10, I suspect you may still be a bit heavy-handed on the stones... Easy to do if you're getting impatient with loaded stones...

Re: Sharpmaker + Delica Sharpening Help

Have you cleaned your stones?
Once the stones get loaded, frustration increases exponentially. It makes a suprising difference in cutting speed. If you haven't, I recommend Barkeeper's Friend, as it has a bit of oxalic acid, that helps noticably over comet powder.

I am frankly quite surprised that this is not in existence yet.

My impression is that the Manix 2LW is a resounding success...? Maybe I'm wrong... I do suffer from "AFI Blinders Syndrome"...

I don’t know if I would call either one of those choices Gent-y. Spyderco should make true small dress knife done tastefully. Is it possible? Crazier things have happened.

You mean like Kopas and Kiwis?

I'd love to see more Kopas...

We're certainly not doing the OP any favors here hahaha. So many great knives in that size range, you really can't go wrong.

Indeed! Tough category... Too many excellent examples here...

Re: Get a bug name tag with your screen name for Blade show

I'm in, but what if there's a Sprint version coming soon? Should I wait? Is this gonna be available in DLC? What's the target hardness? Only if it has the deep carry wire clip. Is there gonna be a lefty version? Sal? Sal?

Lol. I keeed, I keeed!

Definitely in.
(I think).
