That is completely outstanding! What are the dimensions now? Brilliant job! Thanks a lot, I have some other good projects in the works but my time has been really limited due to work and such. The blade is about 2.75 inches from tip to handle, cutting edge is roughly 2.25, handle about 3.75 and OAL...

I've drilled and also milled liners before without any issues. If you have a drillpress you could always get an end mill bit along with a cross slide vise for a poor mans mill solution. Most of the vises will have a 4in X and Y axis to get a fair amount of movement. But I would not hesitate drilling...

I really like that. What's the actual weight differential after the mod? Well according to the catalog the original weighs 147g or 5.2oz. and my modded one came in at 114g or 4.032oz. I also weighed my orange S30V sprint with FFG blade and that was 118g or 4.16oz. So there are some pretty good weig...

Looks nice. Is it big enough to give you a 4 finger grip? http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/i337/Stugots-II/2EBA06C4-8194-4AD7-83D6-93285195C25F-2702-000001EA7BBDF9E2.jpg http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/i337/Stugots-II/C19BEB28-FF33-4FB8-9AA1-6A41A6B0520F-2702-000001EA843C8756.jpg http://i108...

You can buy it like this. Yes Dodge is right Minibear, I bought the handles with that texture but I milled them down to make them slimmer. I have an older shorter non hourglass spyderco clip that I am pondering but as many have stated I would kind of like a deep ride wire clip. I would just have to...

Manix 2 Mod - Mini Manix
Here are some pictures of my modified Manix 2. I changed the blade shape a bit to make it smaller and also shortened up the handles. Also I made some new Blue/Black G-10 handles. To lighten it up some more too, I skeletonized the liners. I still have a few more plans for it to include stone washing ...

Just curious what the sixth knife from the left, bottom shelf is? Looks like a shorter Manix 2. You are correct, it is a Manix 2 it's getting close to being finished but I still have a few things left to do before I posted it. Or I guess I could take a pick of the work in progress but I really want...

Here is the stand I made awhile back, however it is too small and I have many more Spydercos a long with a few other makes that don't fit. http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/i337/Stugots-II/982548D7-589A-4355-B38A-A93920CF94B2-976-000000AFFC0C82B4.jpg http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/i337/Stugot...

$150? O_O I'm new to spydies but that seems much higher than I expected compared to the original model...am I missing something here? Time and inflation not to mention all the time it takes to revamp it from its original state. A gallon of gas cost more now than it did back then...just saying with ...

First Slipit
So I ended up getting a Pingo for my first slipit and let me tell you I love it for my first. Sure it's not a one handed opener but the ergos are great and the blade and steel are a great choice. Being new to slipits though I only have one question, do they usually have side to side blade play? I tr...
