I consider myself to be a user not a collector, so Damascus and ivory (or other fancy materials) doesn't really turn me on. However there is one knife I'd like to have, keep, never use and carry only a couple times a year: the Spyderco WTC D'Allara. I guess I'll never have one, but that's the point ...

I used to be a forester myself when I was in my twenties... It was a tough job in a harsh environment, but it had its bright sides :)

For unkown reason I can't access the link, but based on the brief descriptions (modified wharncliffe "Insingo" style thin blade, thin frame lock) can I assume it's the A.G. Russell Skorpion?

Although I'm not particularily very fond of those, I do however own one, the plastic (Grivory) version made by Cold Steel. Sort of a backup disposable knife.

The internal stop pin would require a radical redesign of the inner workings of a regular lockback. Besides, although an interesting feature, it raises more problems than it solves, IMHO. Knowing that Spyderco doesn't complicate a design more than necessary, I doubt that we'll see an internal stop p...

...As from your perspective doing what you do , the mix of a modern blade and shape with the hole but old scale material would be a cool look though ?... It is a delicate balance but I am sure that a talented maker (like, for instance, the Russian knifemaker Dmitri Sinkevich ) can come with somethi...

Fankly, I'm glad that Spyderco doesn't explicitely give the Rc hardness. One can make an educated guess and of course, the one who is really interested in this matter can ask on the Forum(s) and get a good answer. But I'm glad that the Rc doesn't feature on the label. Most people tend to believe that...
