Yes, deciding between that and the SE. I only have SE on small hawkbills currently.Sjucaveman wrote:I was just thinking of picking up the cs exclusive, I like that the steel is upgraded and the blade shape.

So, do people like the wharncliffe better in PE or SE. I think I saw Sal posted that he was using it in the spyderedge.

Re: BHQ with a hap40 Lum Tanto exclusive?
Yeah, I am likely out on this one. Just don't think I would use it. Hap40 makes me think this model is not intended to be a worker. However, I do love it on my caly 3.

Re: Spyderco Shaman News and Gossip Thread
Should the Shaman be released with a radiused fluted scale like the Military and other model sprint runs I would definitely reconsider. As it is I think the slippery scales tip the the balance in the PM2's favor although I like the idea of the radius edges and a departure from standard G10 checkere...

Which one was previously released? How is it different than the upcoming Spyderco C41PYL5 Native 5 Salt Folding Knife 2.95" LC200N Satin Plain Blade, Yellow FRN Handles?

Re: SharpMaker Ultra Fine Rods or Leather Strop??
Neither. Diamond or cbn rods are going to prove much more important for maintaining extremely sharp edges. It is a simple matter to make any steel sharp enough to whittle free hanging hairs with just the regular fine rods. How much sharper than that do you want your edges? If you aren’t able to get...

Re: Spyderco Shaman News and Gossip Thread
Hi Rotten, Welcome to our forum and sorry for your disappointment. When we did the math, the cost of the G-10 machining was double the estimate. No choice but to raise the price or disco the model. "Worth" is another discussion. sal thanks for clarifying. Based on how much I enjoy the Sha...

I think the Shaman is amazing. I was fortunate to get my before the price increase. Therefore, as much as I would love to get a sprint run, it will all come down to price.

in my opinion, a PM2 is not a must. I have owned 3 and currently own 0. Looks good. but a lot would look good in this combo. Shaman please!atv223 wrote:I don't have a PM2 and have been waiting for an interesting sprint or exclusive, this could be the one!

Re: What's your favorite steel?
Enjoying M4 the most these days.
I would just like to mention that Hap40 is currently the only steel I have where I am feel somewhat nervous about accidentally getting cut with it. It just seems like it would slide right through without even noticing. So sharp.

This is my first manix. I really like the scales and blade. But if they make a Shaman in this combo, there is a chance I will not buy another knife for a long time.Sjucaveman wrote:I wish I had bought a shaman instead.

I have both the ladybug and dragonfly hawkbills in my possession right now. The ladybug makes the dragonfly seem like such a big knife! Never thought I would think that. Currently, I do not know what I would use the dragonfly hawkbill for that I can't get by with just the LBHB. More grip and a stro...
