Byrd Rescues

How would you compare the Byrd Rescues (Meadowlark and Cara Cara) to the Spyderco Rescues (79mm, 93mm and new Rescue 3). They look to be comparable except for the steel. Are there other differences I'm missing?

I carry a Balance with the clip removed in my watch pocket. Other than that, I prefer the wire clips on the Sage 1 and Caly 3 as the ride pretty low.

Well I'll just have to take a drive out to the SFO this week then. Although I'm guessing if he was asked to not discuss, it was something seen in a non-public area.

I was looking into getting some Forschner to augment my Cutco set (yes, I know...). But if there are some new Spyderco kitchen knives coming out, I might have to hold off a while.

I'm glad this thread came up. I'm been looking for a rescue type knife to put in the cars. Would like to keep it cheap, as things disappear from the cars pretty easy. Wishing the Byrd Rescues had a glass-breaker.

After having used the Caly 3 SB for a while now, I'm looking forward to some more Super Blue. The Domino looks like a hit.

Very nice. I saw some of the Santa Fe work at the SFO. One of these days I'll be walking away with one I'm sure.

I want to know how you opened that box without tearing it :D I took great care but ripped every **** mule box I have got . I wish they would come in the slide format other models do and the worst was the woodcraft blister pack almost impenetrable . Mike at the SFO showed me how to use a knife blade...

First: Tenacious
Latest: Caly 3 SB
Surprises: How quickly I became addicted (especially to the Carbon Fiber).

Thanks for the contest. The stretch is on my short list of next to buy.

In fact, I have Caly3,CF,ZDP and I really looooove it.It is a beautifull blade. I love it so much that I bought 4.But there is something strange that stops me using it.That shiny blade with those 420J layers and almost fragile aspect does not allow me. Maybe the Caly 3 Super Blue sprint? G-10 scale...

I like the positioning of the clip for tip down. Tip up is showing a lot of knife.

Thanks guys for the info on the Caly Jr. Sounds like I need to add it to my shortlist, although they're awfully hard to find from the looks of it.
