Re: Chaparral Lightweight - thoughts and pics
Thanks everyone for the kind words and feedback :) Makes the time spent well worth it when people get something out of it! Awesome review! Please do more :) If you search my old posts you should be able to find a bunch of reviews I did a few years back. I posted the Native 5, Roadie, Caly 3, Calypso...

Chaparral Lightweight - thoughts and pics
Hello all, I haven't done a review in quite some time, but I've been eagerly awaiting the release of the FRN Chaparral and now its here I thought I'd take the time to snap a few pics and share my thoughts. My two most loved and carried Spydercos are the Native 5 LW and the Dragonfly 2 LW, so an FRN ...

Re: 2017 - Lightweight/FRN Chaparral
Looking very smart. With the liners I'm interested to see how it compares in weight to the Native 5 LW. Can't wait to get my hands on one of these!

Re: Color Poll for the Chaparral Light Weight
I've switched my vote to OTHER after a little thought: I think a really PALE colour for a gent's knife (as the Chap is) works best...The pale colours denote a knife that isn't going to use for yard work and always looks less threatening in the 'gent's' environment. Something like a white, bone or b...

Another yes please for the lightweight here! Ever since picking up a Native 5 LW and seeing how well it works I've hoped the Caly 3 would go the same way.

Re: FRN Urban Wharncliffe Sprint?
It's a shame that the wharncliffe Urban didn't do that well (I bought one!). The new FRN urban is my favourite slipit to date and I'd grab a wharnie version in a heartbeat. Love to see it with orange FRN too after the orange G10 of the old version :)

Re: Sage or Native...Your thoughts
...I am leaning towards the Sage 2 over the native because I feel the liner lock is easier to operate one handed (closing specifically), but really like the lines of the Native... I've had a few Sages and they're great knives but for me I'd pick the Native all day long. The Native feels more compac...

Re: Native 5...why did it take me so long?
With all the 'gripping behind the choil' talk I just snapped a couple of quick dodgy phone pics to show how my hands fit in both positions. I use both grips often and find both really comfortable. I take a 'Medium' glove size... Behind the choil: http://i1118.photobucket.com/albums/k619/Crabbacus1/N...

Re: Native 5...why did it take me so long?
...The problem now is that with my Enduras, Delicas and other non-choil knives my muscle memory wants to put my finger up on the blade! I hear you on this one!
