Re: Best Blade Length for Self Defense; And What Do You Carry For This Purpose
Is there even a cut and dried answer to this question? To me, the best length depends partly on the situation. Re: New to Spyderco - Wife will be in Taiwan
www.rghknives.com.tw. Ask about a discount if not given one...especially on knives made in Taiwan. Lots of knives, so fun to just look around. Hope they have something you want. The Janisong is a great deal ... if it can get through Customs. They also usually have a few knives that have recently bee...

Re: Interesting knife: "The Disciple".
One of the very few non-Spyderco knives I regret not buying when available. Shivworks (Craig Douglas) has mentioned having a production version made at some point. It has been talked about over at the Total Protection Interactive website for some time now, but has yet to happen.

Re: Anybody used any of the spydercos with the Emerson/wave opener?
I assume that was a linerlock. As much as I liked my P'kal, I got rid of it because of a similar problem - twice. I have never had any problems with the Spyderco lockbacks that are "waved", and I've carried them for years in all kinds of clothing and all kinds of pockets.

Re: Anybody used any of the spydercos with the Emerson/wave opener?
I hope we can get a few more knives with the Spyderco version of the Emerson opener that is on the Delica, Endura, and Matriarch. It's a great option.

Re: Waves
I am a big fan of "waved" models, too. Hopefully we'll see a few new models in the future. I may be wrong, but apparently there was a new one on display at Blade Show. Even if there was, that doesn't mean it will go into production.

Re: Folders to Fixed Blades. What Spydies Would You Convert?
I'd like to see the a fixed blade using the blade of a Smallfly or Spyderfly. I'd also like to see the blade shape of a Smallfly or Sypderfly on a flipper with maybe a coffin style handle.
