Cameron, I recently got the chance to (finally) handle an original Yojimbo, and I must say the Yojimbo 2 is pretty much better in every category if you ask me, particularly in the grip ergonomics. It could be argued that the older style FFG blade is a better slicer, but it could also be argued that...

The idea is that you have it in your carry on bag as you go through security so you don't have to empty it out of your pocket, that way they get a look at it via x-ray and you move on. Putting it back in your pocket, like your phone and keys after you have been through security only makes sense. Cam...

I told you it was dangerous to go to Golden!

So after the experience I had in Golden at the Spyderco HQ in this thread Be Very Careful Going to the Spyderco Factory Outlet Store!! I made the mistake of venturing back there again today. Needless to say, I was bitten by the bug again... I found it impossible to leave without taking a Yojimbo2 wi...

You!

You just stop right there! What do you think you are doing by trying to bring logic and common sense into the TSA!! It will not happen on my watch!

Of all the Spyderco knives I have had a chance to see, I think the Manix2 seems to be one of the toughest. The ball bearing lock seems to be one of the strongest I have seem, you would have to crush a hardened ball bearing to get it to fail... combine that with the non-skeletonized liners that exten...

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT bring logic into a discussion that involves the Federal Gov especially the TSA. You have been warned!!

I'm kind of pragmatic when it comes to carrying, what is strong and sharp? I had carried a Yojimbo since early 2005... (I think I even posted in here when I got it). http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8370/8532929864_e7be6e3395_b.jpg I got a Manix2 in 154CM combo edge as a gift and started carrying that ...

That is why the TSA is doing it here, so that the rules are uniform across the various destinations.

Be Very Careful Going to the Spyderco Factory Outlet Store!!

I braved the morning snow storm here in Colorado and popped into the Spyderco Factory Outlet Store today in Golden, I swear it was just to drop of my Manix2 for repair for a broken tip... and I wanted to say, you really just have to be very very careful in there. I still don't know exactly how...

Manix2 154CM or CPM-S30V?

I am thinking of picking up a Manix2 Black Blade and I don't know which steel they are made from. The Manix2 I have is 154CM, and the print Catalog I got from Spyderco this week says they are CPM-S30V, then the website says 154CM???? If the Manix2 DLC is CPM-S30V I will probably go up an buy one thi...
