Keyword spamming

It is called keyword spamming and it is not allowed by eBay. The only way for eBay to know is to have members report it. Keyword spamming uses a company's well earned name to sell another item. Some companies actively monitor eBay for fakes and copies but it is hard to spend a lot of time doing that...

scales

You would almost need to grind the epoxy off. I would treat this as a permanent procedure.

How to attach scales

I have attached thin G10 and Carbon-fiber scales to stainless-handled Spyderco and Byrd knives with great results. Start by making a paper pattern and transfer it onto the thin scale material. Make the pattern slightly bigger than the scale so you can bevel it down to fit. Keep in mind that some of ...

paint on handles

I have tried paint on FRN handles and found that it can look good in the areas that are not in contact with your hands as it wears off rapidly. The best results were obtained with thinned out model paint that was allowed to flow into the "valley" areas on the FRN scale. I used a sharp pin ...

Pocket Knife saves life

Interesting article out of Massachusetts about a girl in a car wash that was saved because someone happened to be carrying a pocket knife, Should be required reading for those that want to ban the carrying of knives. http://www.masslive.com/news/index.ssf/2009/02/photos_by_don_treeger_1.html spyderw...

Possible solution

Thanks for all of the photos and ideas. I think that I have a possible fix for those times that you might want to use the knife for more serious chopping. If you look at the pics you will notice holes cut into the liner above the finger choil. If you carefully drilled through the carbon fiber scale ...

SpyFox size

I just measured mine. 3" handle, aprox. 2.25" blade. Think Dragonfly or Cricket size. Clip on the back. I will try to post some pics later.

Spyfox

These are very nice small knives made by Fox out of Italy. They are done with authorization from Spyderco. The supplier also makes the Volpe. I picked up, (bought), both from the Italian Fox display on the last day of the Shot Show in Vegas. Very small but rather nice. Sal was not sure if they were ...

BaliYo

I had a chance to spend some time with the BaliYo over the past few days. While I don't want to release any propriety information regarding the marketing and availability I think it is safe to say that this is one of the most fun objects that I have played with in a long time. First off, it is not a...

disc. specials

It has been a while since I have seen any decent quantity of closeouts from the factory. I have been fortunate enough to have picked up some great deals on Lums, and German Herbst knives from this website. I only wish I had gotten more.

Al Mar

As a knife designer Al Mar was important in the early days of Spyderco. Much of the knife business in Japan depends on introductions and it is my understanding that Al Mar provided some of the early Japan contacts for Sal. After his passing the company remained in family control until it was sold to...

Knives in Japan

Thanks for the heads up Felly. Spydercos are available in some of the better knife stores but they are not cheap. Sometimes you can find older models that have been sitting on the shelves for a while. The concept of sale prices or discount pricing is not very widespread at all. I know of a few knife...

Next one, if I do another, will be better. I like the idea of being able to have a knife display in your office that will show your interests, not to mention what you have in your pocket. Maybe a Military shadowbox? Or first five Spydercos? spyderwa Rare Spyderco Website http://www.angelfire.com/tre...

I forgot to mention that my 1st-gen Worker is really an early 3-screw model. It still has the flat slab sides Technically it would be the 2nd variation of the first model with 3 screws and one handle side thicker than the other. Still looking for the first 2-screw Worker at a price that I don't have...

Here is the link for searching patents. You may have to create a free account to view pdf. images. I don't think it will let you download the images, but you can print them out from the pdf. viewer toolbar. Search under Glesser not Spyderco. Look for the older ones to find the Worker. Have fun, you ...
