I wonder if ultimately the Dice will be referred to as the "poor man's (Strider) PT", a' la Sage 2/Sebenza?

The CF on the Dice looks to me like the same cubic check CF on the Domino, just lit from a different angle (unless I'm mistaken). Really? To me it looked it looks a little more like some of the lighting strike designs I've seen...but I could certainly be wrong too. Kinda hard to tell by the pic. Th...

Love the Dice, especially since it retains the Domino's XHP! Stayed away from the Domino simply because it was bigger than I like and IMO the Dice has a better looking CF scale. Really disliked the Domino's scale pattern.

I have both, and plan to keep both. The Techno is on a whole different level of substantial quality feel in the hand. It's the closest Spydie to a Sebenza there is, IMO. It locks open with a rock solid thwack that makes the Sage 2 seem delicate. The stonewashed finish looks great, and really holds ...

Thanks for all your help guys. I ordered the Sage 1 AND another Delica 4, this time the Dark Green with the ZDP 189 blade.I really enjoyed getting your input on all these choices. I really look forward to being opon this board in the future. Great picks! I too, like others have already stated, real...

I recvd' KC's email as well. I guess I didn't initially notice it in the 2014 catalog but was surprised to see so many $200 to over $300 (dealer pricing) knives with VG10. I've never been a huge fan of this steel even in $50/$100 folders but this new price range/structure seems more than excessive.

FWIW you can always pick up a spare dark wire clip for the Chaparral by ordering the Sage 1 clip from Spyderco cust. service. Also, in terms of steel choice, as much as I am largely satisfied w/S30v...my limited experience w/XHP (Techno and newer Chaparral), is that it seems to hold an absolute razo...

This design is, to me, one of the coolest I've seen. I really don't get the idea of it being used primarily as a kitchen knife, but that aside, I would very much like to see this knife come out in a Carpenter steel in the 3" blade range. I would buy at least two and make this knife my main EDC...

Valid point. OTOH I consider Sal and Eric the equal of any custom maker out there (as well as Gail, Ed etc) I understand each collab is probably a unique contract with it's own T&Cs. I'd love it to be $150. I'll still buy it at $200. Ken FWIW it looks like Knife Center now has it up for pre-ord...

Wasn't really expecting to see it but keep hoping the Marcin Slysz/Spyderco collab., the "SpydeChef" that keeps popping up in various threads for the last 2/3 years will show up soon. Hopefully a Taichung product with CTS-XHP, CTS-204P or better? I've wanted that folder since the day I fir...

Not much I can add to the astute observations of those already posted except the Sage 1 was my "gateway" knife to many other superb Taichung offerings....Sage 2, GB, Techno (personal fave), and Southard. The Sage 1 is arguably one of the best sub-$100 (street prices) EDC folders currently ...

I'm surprised by how much force the smaller Dragonfly clips can hold with. Maybe we need a shorter version of the normal clip. This sounded like a good idea, and since I had an extra DF2 clip not in use I put it on my Techno to see how it worked. It does increase grip A LOT...however the DF2 clip i...

I really like all the wire clips I have except the one on my Techno ! Because the scales are so slick I think the wire needs to be twice the diameter to keep more pressure on the scale. It's the one knife I'm always worried about losing. Is anyone making a "better" clip for the Techno? be...

I also have the Sage's 1 & 2 and they're both excellent values comparatively speaking. FWIW there's currently a lightly used Sage 1 for sale on BF since 9/21 that looks to be in excellent condition for $80....http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showt ... o-Sage-One
