Funny that AEB-L costs more than 15V ^^ 5 bucks is not much diference I know
It's made in Italy, European and Japanese spydies almost always cost more than US/Taiwanese counterparts, so my money is on that being why.

Re: Would you want a Damascus Mule?

I'd be interested in a new damascus if it had unusual properties, particularly mechanically, but a materials and appearance that haven't been done before might be interesting. I'd buy an old one if the price was right, but I've given up on scoring most of the older ones (pretty stoked about the ZDP-...

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!

Ergos are such a personal thing. I really like the neutral grip on this. Just a slight one finger groove. I only have one and since grinding down the liner and improving the detent I plan on getting a lot more use out of it. Which means it will probably get some patina. Makes me think of getting a ...

Looking forward to mine, I missed out the first time around and love ZDP-189 so I'm stoked to have a couple to play with.

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!

That is a great price. I love mine. Maybe an overall favorite. I made a few tweaks to mine, but man it is good. I have 2, one shiny and stock and the other has red micarta scales and a deep patina on the blade, with a clip very much like yours. got that one secondhand when I was trying to decide wh...

Re: Seconds sale 2022

This was great. I got 2 of the ZDP mules I missed at first release, a PITS (couldn't get into it before due to price but it looks super cool), a LW P3 that I think my brother will really dig and some more inexpensive models, to either ensure I got free shipping or just to try. Stayed away from most ...

Re: M398 mules have arrived

The edges on my M398s are not as sharp as I usually see. Not really a problem with touching them up, I just noticed that. It's rare that I get a mule that won't shave me fairly easily. tese weren't dull, per se, just not quite as eken an edge as I'm used to. I guess it's time to get some scales and ...

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!

I picked up a couple of things from AZCK (single knives, it takes time to find good deals) and one of those DLT S90V PM2s. I already bought one at original price but at 139 I couldn't help but grab another. Guess I'm throwing new scales on one of them.

Re: c36 military symbol question

That is such a great find. I really loved the full SE Military model in ATS-34 and 440V both. I still wish they would bring back the fully serrated Military model. And they could use 440V blade steel and it would be A-OK with me. Just found a 440V SE Military, used but under 200 bucks. Couldn't tur...

Re: MT38P - M398 Mule Team Release!

Looking forward to this one. There are lots of stainless steels with an eye on high edge retention but this one sounds pretty extreme - to put it differently, I expect it will likely have different properties than most of my knives which makes it a great choice for a mule.

That's very cool, thanks for the info FullScaler! I could be happy working in softer materials (though i would like to do more with gemstones/minerals, carving is more of a "wouldn't it be cool if" than a bucket list item.

I also am good with waiting until Sal&co are satisfied with the results. I'm eager to have them in hand (PE and SE Swick 5) but I'll take done right over done fast every time. Looks like doing it right is getting close to fruition so... hopefully soon!

Definitely want the cruwear stretch 2 xl, the lil temp lightweight and the 15V Manix 2. I don't think I'm willing to plunk ...

I got the VPN block as well, but I didn't think about it and was actually on my work VPN at the time, so I reloaded without it and was good.

Thanks for the heads up Kristi! Anyone looking for some high wear tool steels will probably love this.
