Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!

They only occasionally have Spydie deals like this, But White Mountain and Justin are great. I've picked up a lot of other stuff from them, and a couple of spydies.

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!

A lot of autonomy models have popped up over the last year or so. Most commonly factory seconds since last year's online seconds mini-sale, but I think I got a regular run Autonomy for a similar price earlier in the year (maybe I paid 200-220 for it), also from AZCK. I picked up a Lionspy (the full-...

Yeah, $75 is a good deal for this blade, wasn't the recent AEBL higher?
It was 5 bucks more, probably owing to the extra cost of producing the knife in Italy, likely due to extra tax/tariffs IMO.

Re: Graceful Transition. A M398 to Aebl Story

The FOMO is a big thing on 15V for sure. I landed a Manix 2, great blade on that thing. Also have been considering a Shaman and a slightly increased price - I like the PM2 as well and think it seems very appropriate for a great high-edgeholding slicer steel. Trying to cut my expenses a bit so I only...

Re: Swick 5 ETA?

Just paid for my 3+ year long pre-order Swick 5 PE from Knifecenter!!! :party-face At the price I pre-ordered too! :cheap-sunglasses :hugging-face Awesome! My order is almost exactly 1 year old, and knowing that listers are getting their orders fulfilled is exciting. I had a 2+ year preorder at BHQ...

Aha! I believe this falls under the "R.T.F.M." injunction! Sorry to ask a dope question. Thanks just the same.
No worries, if we only allowed accounts that never asked a seemingly silly question, Sal would be sitting here all alone.

Klaatu... Barataaaaa.. N<sneezes> <thread is resurrected, creepy things move in the dark> Just wanted to say I agree about a 19v27 Bow River. Great design and platform, surprisingly affordable, which means that while 19c27 would surely cost more, it would probably be conpwtitive with similar knives ...

Re: MT37P - AEB-L Mule Team Dropping Soon

I see, that explains. Say, how did you know where the AEBL was being made? That's some good research skills ya got there. Haha, thanks. I don't remember where I first saw it (but I do remember having a hunch because it's a german steel (Bohler) and Italy would be closest). We can confirm it on the ...

Scales made with my ideal ramp, gap filled with sanding dust/epoxy mix. If you look closely at the top view you can see the filler. I make all my mules with that handle shape as I intend to do some serious stabbing and I do not want my hand to move forward. I use a $14 Ottoza sheath from Amazon Ver...

Wow! Wasn't expecting AEB-L next! Somewhere I'd gotten the idea that AEB-L was an inexpensive steel but apparently not.
It's being manufactured in Italy, so the labor and transport costs are greater much like most of Europe.

Might have to grab Aqua Salt SE - I got the regular one at a sierra sale for 99 bucks but I love SE blades. Kinda wish I'd ordered it already with my incoming M4 delica.

The mule forum is also the best place to get eyes on concerns about steels and their heat treat, it's really a good portion of the point for having it and the Mule program at all. I believe that the vast majority of folks in this group would agree.

check out this post. Best list I know of. https://forum.spyderco.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=89583#p1519432 To add, Spyderco tends to run their steels a little harder, assuming that we're using most of their knives for cutting, not twisting or prying. And mules get that treatment maybe even a bit m...

Jan. 11 code still applies! Good looking out! for reference, the 10% off codes at WMK are generally referral codes and never expire. So use it or one of the others every time you're on the site.
