Most nail polish is quite corrosive. That's why they recommend against the use of it as touch up paint on cars. I would avoid using it on knife screws.

Re: Screws loosening? Problem?

I've not lost a Spydie screw, once on a CRKT, NEVER one with Loctite on it. You only need a tiny drop and it will hold until you intentionally force it. The stuff works on small engines that vibrate, generate a lot of heat and used in extreme cold without issue, IMO you should be able to trust it on...

Re: I really like FRN

I never liked frn until I caved and picked up a racing green dragonfly. Now I really like it, grip is fantastic, feels nice and looks better in person than in pics. Always comes across looking like cheap plastic in photos. I still don't like the black frn for some reason but most other colors look g...

Re: What Spydeco is in your pocket today??

Caly 3.5 zdp until my green Tenacious showed up in the mail. Actually I bought 2, 1 to carry and beat the crap out of, and one to wait it's turn to do the same! The Caly will surely be back to it's role as my edc in a day or 2, while the Tenacious will go with me to work and jump in my pocket for an...

Re: Spyderco/Farid K2 full review

Screen Shot sp.jpg Really like mine, had to tweak it a bit for the way I use it. The upswept tip kept snagging on things so I got rid of it and kept going :) The steel really holds an edge well, it still cut paper after stone washing! (not well mind you but it cut, when I did my Native in 110v it w...

Caly 3.5 is in my pocket these days, Native 5 110v is a great little knife too.

Re: What Spyderco knives are able to be Spydy-flicked open?

As far as backlocks go, I have a Native 5, Caly 3.5, Lava, and a Dragonfly. All flick well although I mentioned the DF is a bit tricker simply because of it's size but the action is great if you take the time to grip it right. Don't have a ukpk but my urban wharncliffe flicks super easy. I can even ...

Re: Do I need a Para-military 2?

I actually got a good deal on a Yojimbo 2, (I love wharncliffes) so I am now familiar with the lock. I have to disagree with it being easier lefty than a right ril or liner though. (maybe just the way my hand/thumb is shaped) I wouldn't say it's hard to do but the ril's and liner are super easy left...

Re: What Spyderco knives are able to be Spydy-flicked open?

Everyone I've tried works nicely. As a lefty, ones like the Techno are easy too as the cutout allows us lefties to do the flick whereas it's mighty difficult for right handed users. The Techno is easiest with ring finger, for me anyway. I find the Dragonfly a bit tricky because of it's small size bu...

Re: Slimmest Spyderco in Pocket?

If you haven'y found one yet, I'm now going to suggest Caly3.5. I've been carrying my zdp version for a few weeks now and while it's certainly wider it sits in my jeans pocket even better than my Crkt m16 that i saw you mentioned your friend had.

Re: Have Persistance value folder looking to step up?

It's funny actually, I started with more expensive Spydies, my first was a Cru-wear Manix2 and now I'm waiting for my Tenacious to get here! I like the idea of having a Spydie to beat on as well as my "nicer" ones that while I still use, I'm a little more careful with. I'm thinking I'll pi...

Re: Do I need a Para-military 2?

Well I guess KW has made my mind up for me. I love the M4 on my Gayle Bradley so I'm liking the idea of an M4 P2. I'm not drooling over CF but I do like it and it might make the knife a touch lighter? So I think this will the one! Hopefully I can grab one when they come out. Thanks for the input guy...

Re: how safe is Amazon to buy from

Reputable dealers are always your best bet especially if you are looking at something like a Dragonfly for example that is copied all the time. If you were looking at say a Gayle Bradley your chances of a counterfeit are quite small however "new" isn't always the case and shipping headache...

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?

Caly 3.5 cf zdp189 I still really want one of those but when new knife time arrives, I always get something else. One day it will be mine lol. Just got it and it's great. Funny thing, if it was my first Spydie I'd be very impressed, but seeing as how I own a couple Taichung models the fit and finis...

Re: FRN Jester Sprint Input Needed

Whatever the colour, I'm in. I'd actually like gitd on it, seeing as how it's likely going on my keys it would be handy to be glowing. Perhaps a double sprint run, straight and serrated set, racing green zdp straight edge and a glowing serrated one..?
