The 2 best dealers I've found on Spyderco sharpening equipment are New Graham and One Stop Knife Shop. They always have what I'm looking for most of the time. Now also check with Spyderco themselves at SFO ( Spyderco Factory Outlet store). I've snagged some pretty good deals through them on several...

Thanks - I will eventually buy a Sharp-Maker, but right now, I will send in my knife with a check and let the professionals do it for me. Thanks for both replies though. :) I have been able to put a very sharp edge on a PE blade with a stone since I was a kid (kind of required when you grow up carry...

Does Spyderco offer a sharpening service?

Does Spyderco offer a sharpening service, where you send in a Spyderco knife and they will touch up the blade including the serrated edge for a slight charge? I don't know much about sharpening a fully serrated knife or the serrated portion of a combo edge. Thanks.

I picked up another one tonight in CPM 440V steel. It is older and used, but I got a decent price on it, and it has the info stamped on the left side of the blade. "SPYDERCO MILITARY CPM 440V GOLDEN, CO USA". It has some slight pitting from rust, but will make a fine user knife. I will try ...

I really like the Blackhawk and the Renegade as they are...they have a semi aggressive look. But I like that they are still sort of long and slender. I am always on the lookout for these when I am on the BST forums. The one I looked at yesterday and this morning was CE on "the bay" and we...

The one I looked at yesterday and this morning was CE on "the bay" and went for $139 and change today IIRC.

I thought the one I saw yesterday was a neat looking knife, a bit "dated" (it looked "1990s"), but neat and serviceable.

I used a serrated endura opening sacks of quick-crete yesterday and then used it again early this morning trimming plastic sheeting from around where I built a concrete ramp out back and to cut off the tips of caulk used to fill some cracks along the stairs above it. I washed the knife out with warm...

Thanks phaust - I thought it was an older knife. What is GIN 1 and GIN 2 steel? Is that just an early stainless steel that Spyderco used?

Tell me about the Spyderco "Renegade" knife?

I saw a Spyderco Renegade, lock-back knife yesterday and thought it was an interesting looking knife, but had never seen one before. It reminds me of the Military model, except of course for the lock. I assume this is an older model knife? Were they very popular back when they were produced? Were th...

For the record, I looked again after someone inquired and Country doesn't have a Military with a fully serrated black blade. Further, after looking through the last seven years worth of catalogs, I've come to realize that no black bladed fully serrated S30V Military was ever offered. Maybe Spyderco...

Maybe too late but try http://www.SRknives.com . It is our primary bricks and mortar store in toronto. They have it listed on their site but not sure if they actually have it in stock. I am not affiliated in any way with them, have just purchased knives there in the past (physical location and onli...

I will try. I'll have to use the laptop as I am having problems posting pics (even from photo bucket) with this tablet. :)

I have and there was one there that I just bought for much less and free shipping. :)

I have searched the web and called various vendors and Country Knives is the only one with one in stock, but I can see why they have them as they are very highly priced....more than I am willing to pay. :(
