Was the worker ever produced in a 3 screw clip, Gin-1 version with a partially serrated edge ?
I've seen one in a local antique shop, but am a bit flustered:
online I've only seen SE or PE versions, no partials.

Alright, back to the drawing board for Barracuda 1.1. I'm going to try less negative angle (somewhere in between the Ayoob and the Catcherman), and a 14 or even 15 mm spydiehole. But still some negative angle. Because, well, I must admit in daily live, I am quite the fan of negative angled blades ( ...

Hi there surfingringo, thanks for the drawing. I think I get the gist of your idea. How big is big enough for a spydiehole on this type of blade in your opinion ? in the design made in the photos, the diameter is 13 mm. That being said, I have some thoughts about the hump: If I would include it in t...

Cardboard 'Cuda
Cardboard version of the 'Cuda in with a 3,75" blade. In this version, the handle is about the same size as an Endura handle, but more curved. But it's slimmer in pocket than my Matriarch ! I did straighten out the belly a bit...

I was just doodling some... backlock, choil, the regular stuff. And some things I thought were fun to try: -Yatagan balance, meaning even more weight forward for cutting and chopping -Blood grooves on both sides, directly behind point if held in a natural grip and stabbed forw...

Mhhh, 1. all the Super Blue stuff, I just love it... 2. Native 5 CF S110V (hope it will be available) Agreed, those have a promise of being amazing. But because of, let's say budgetary and spousal reasons, I'm probably going to have to keep is at a dragonfly or stretch SB, maybe the native, and def...

Any Mule would be awesome. And the timing's just right: just before Christmas. I know what present I'd like to find under my tree ;-) + 1 on the 4v but even more on the s110v Mule. Any idea what steel Super Gold No.2 would be comparable to ? Otherwise that might be interesting to have in Mule format...

My father always carried an Opinel 9 on him, and two SAK's, one in the car and one in his bag. Grandfather used to carry a couple of no name slipjoints. One of those he carried with him, escaping trying to stay in front of the nazi advance. From his stories I gather it helped him quite a bit along t...

Too hot to unload.... normally water of over 60°C will scald and burn skin if exposed longer then 5 seconds. I think dishwashers can go up to 90°C, so 40 minutes at 90° could be equivalent to 15 min autoclave. The question is of course whether, there will be a tipping point at which the chemical str...

A knife in the field for an EMT or other first responder is a must and a whole different issues than a knife in the ED. In the emergency system in my country the EMT's do the basic care and transportation, but Emergency Physicians and nurses are available in well equipped, fast cars in order to get...

Wow, a response from the owner of Spyderco, really wasn't expecting that... a very welcome surprise. I've done some reading on the forum, and for some reason I find myself leaning towards the EDC salt knives. Yellow that does not look tactical, yet can be easily found if dropped. The H1 has some pre...

New member with a very specific question.
Hi everyone, I'm new here, and new to spyderco's, having been referred here by a military buddy of mine. The reason why: I need a new knife, but not just a knife. I'm a student/intern in medicine and am working very hard right now to get accepted into either anaesthesiology or emergency medicine. No...
