Can the same be said for coffee(nothing added)? There are tons of mixed opinions whether or not coffee is "good" or "bad" for you.

A few things a lot of people don't think about are Booze, that's beer, wine and hard liquor, NONE of it is actually a positive thing ever in any quantity. I've been under the impression that moderate consumption of red wine is better than not drinking red wine at all. Any members have any thoughts/...

Re: What Are You Reading ?

excessively fond of equines I wasn't aware such a thing were possible! I happen to have a tattoo of myself (as a horse) riding a horse over a rainbow. Also the horse has a rainbow tail. If you weren't such a philistine, perhaps you would have caught the reference to the character in a novel by Phil...

Re: Diet and nutrition, assorted topics

I typically only snack between breakfast and lunch. I like fruits and/or "handful" of nuts. I try to stay away from breads in general. I think the idea is to eat enough at each meal that you are not hungry for snacks in between. Eating leafy greens before a meal should help you feel full, ...

Re: What Are You Reading ?

I finished Lonesome Dove in February and it was so good I decided to read the whole tetralogy. I finished Dead Man's Walk and have just started Comanche Moon. I'm slowly working my way through the Tao of Jeet Kun Do by Bruce Lee and Zen Buddhism by D.T. Suzuki. I hope to finish those up, finish the ...

Re: What Are You Reading ?

Just finished Lonesome Dove this week. It was one of the best novels I've read. Just started Martian Time Slip by Philip K. Dick. I have Dune on my list, but probably won't get to it until later this year.

Re: Ask me your fitness questions

I guess I don't like coffee. I like coffee with sugar ha ha. That is the one thing I have not been able to kick. I just like having a cup in the morning. I think I get enough sleep (7-8 hours) and it's usually pretty sound, but I'm currently trying to transition from a stomach sleeper to a back sle...

Currently reading Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry, The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid by Bill Bryson, and the Tao of Jeet Kun Do by Bruce Lee.

I've just finished several Philip K. Dick books and judging by your name, I assume you have probably read them too. ;)

Re: Ask me your fitness questions

Thanks Tvenuto! I was using Sweet & Low in my coffee each morning to try and avoid using "real" sugar to lower my calorie count each day. On occasion I would use those new zero calorie sweeteners that you put in water to add some flavor. They use sucralose to make it sweet. After read...
