Re: Holy Spyderbyte!
Well this is going to cost me... I do not have:
1) a manix
2) any non stainless folders
3) any "super" steels
So I need to buy this one right? Any idea on price - Maybe on par with the S110v lightweight manix?

Re: 4V mule team review
bearfacedkiller - why do you prefer them to stainless options, what is the benefit in the kitchen? Ease of sharpening, or something else?

Re: 4V mule team review
I guess I'll be the voice of dissent this time :) I put Halpern scales on mine after receiving it and it went straight to work in the kitchen. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y142/Sid-Vicious/4vmule.jpg I do not understand why so many people use a non stainless knife in the kitchen. Isn't that ask...

Re: MT-24 MAXAMET Review and Testing
Jim, Was sharpening Maxamet similar to S110v - more or less? For an average skill set on a sharpmaker is that something I can handle? (I assume diamond or CBN rods are a must)

"XVC11 is basically M4 and it seems as though M4 is a great seller and a solid performer. I say bring on the XVC11 Delica" Sounds awesome!

A new run on Delica's would be awesome. Super blue comeback, or American steels would be great. M-4 delica would be amazing!

Any tips besides going slowly and using the corner of the white rods? Do you ever use Grey rods?

Serrated edge sharpening
Do you guys use the sharpmaker for this? I want to get a serrated Native but am concerned I will not be able to sharpen it. I saw Sal's DVD where he touches on it, but is that what you guys do? Sharpmaker is my only sharpening instrument.
Thanks for any tips!

Delica is the obvious choice, but for a closer dollar per dollar comparison Native FRN is a great call. Same handle material, much better steel, similar price as a mini grip.dgebler wrote:you should also consider the frn native.
I love my Delica, but a Native sounds awesome as well

This sounds awesome! Can't wait to read reviews and tests on this steel. I am way too green to sharpen this knife so I will stay away, but it sounds big time.

Re: What steel is up to bat?
So far the Gayle Bradley 2 and Manix lightweight S110V are the top 2 I am considering next. I really want to try out M4 and the Gayle Bradley 2 looks amazing from an aesthetic standpoint. How does everyone like the Liner lock on the Gayle Bradley? I much prefer a ball bearing lock to a liner lock. B...

Re: What steel is up to bat?
If I fished or was by the water more I would be all over H-1. But that is rare... I still might grap a Tasman salt SE just for those rare uses. For the Manix, do you guys like the lightweight moreso then the G-10 version? I am fine with FRN, but which do you guys prefer from a grip/comfort standpoin...

What steel is up to bat?
I know this is very subjective and depends on what sprint runs or mules are available. But, what steel should I try next? My current (small) line up Persistence - 8cr13mov Matriarch - VG-10 (used only for self defense) Delica - VG-10 PM2 - S30V I just got my PM2 and really dig the s30v. I did a majo...

Re: Kinda disappointed my with my PM2
Joe - its just how I am. I wanted to take a look at the internals. I am curious cat. To answer your question, the deployment action was very tough at first. Closing the knife was even tougher. I know loosening the pivot would make it smoother, but then I got side to side play. So, I wanted to see wh...
