Re: Antarctica?
Well.. as far as I can ascertain, Pope Francis has not gone to Antarctica .. However, Patriarch Kirill of the Russian Orthodox Church has, ostensibly to visit the Holy Trinity Church , the southernmost Russian Orthodox church in the world.. Outside of any religious context, this falls in line with R...

Re: What's your diet like?
Well.. I'm a very long term Type 1 insulin dependent diabetic ( 3 shots of differing insulins a day) and the whole keto diet thing reminds me of a deadly complication of diabetes called diabetic ketoacidosis - where a lack of insulin throws you into a fat burning mode, and you get a ketone buildup i...

Re: Waiting On My First Luminox!!
There are alternatives to the Luminox.. I to have girly-man wrists, and found that this Smith and Wesson watch fit the bill for the want of an H3 watch.. http://www.mcbroom.biz/Public/flasharry/watches/sw_h3.jpg Its not as large as the Luminox (and yes, I did have one once), and while it lacks the f...

I had one of those - and once the edge was cleaned up, it shaved as well as any of my Gillette safety razors... It seemed to work well when touching up the edge on it as designed There are other options. My Dad carried a Rolls Razor during WW2 and as a kid I thought they were a really interesting de...

Re: Canadian Knife laws on Autonomy and Balisong/Butterfly?
Heh - and then the Thought Police would show up on your door to take you to "re-education camps"? :) Seriously, I doubt that such a note would even get serious regard... Personally, I can't see the appeal of a butterfly knife (but then I can't see the appeal of flicking knives open and shu...
