What Spyderco do you WANT, but absolutely don’t NEED (I.e. have a real use for)?
I’ll admit it, I have a burning desire to get a Matriarch. The Civilian is too pricy in comparison, so the Matriarch it is. I have absolutely no real use case for a knife like this, but I want one, dammit. :) Why? They look so fiendishly cool IMO. Almost evil looking. Do I need one to cut cardboard,...

Re: MAP policy change? 35%
I am new to Spyderco Forum but I am a member of Blade forum and the new pricing is being discussed there. I cannot believe that this has been done, the only thing that I can think of is that Spyderco wants the dealers to be able to make more money without costing Spyderco anything. I actually think...

Re: MAP policy change? 35%
If Spyderco has become a matter of prestige and elitism then I want no part of it. They began making solid knives like I had never seen before. I was poor and they were affordable quality. All things must pass. How is a knife company that sells likely 90% of their American made knives for $75-150 g...

Good value, easy to sharpen and holds an edge well. I love mine.

My Endura 4 and Native 5 arrived today. Loving both. The Endura in orange looks great and I highly doubt I will lose it in the woods!
My PS Para 3/Dog Tag order was deemed lost and refunded unfortunately. BHQ is amazing to deal with luckily.

Re: Spyderco Knock-offs, "Replicas"and Fakes
Just saw this just posted on Fasttech’s forum. Good stuff! Spyderco clones - gone! Just noticed that Fasttech has removed nearly all the spyderco clones from the site - possibly under duress from spyderco or maybe too many are getting confiscated at customs. Shame as I had my eye on a couple I love ...

My Cara Cara 2 is a great knife for the $$$. I am a fan of the combo edge on this knife as well.
I liked the form factor so much that I had a Pacific Salt and an Endura 4 within a month or two. :)

Re: First Knife of 2018
Still have 5 Spydercos in the mail but they were ordered last year so don’t count. ;) The Caribbean looks great to me and will very likely be my next Spyderco. Still thinking about pulling the trigger on a discounted Southard before they are gone though. Strangely, I also have a disturbing urge to o...

Sharpening here. I need to watch my Sharpmaker video, ruin a couple of cheap knives and then get down to business. Got the SM from my wife for Christmas buy haven’t spent any time with it over the holidays.

My first one is in the mail but I have a Pacific Salt and a Cara Cara 2. Big knives but surprisingly feel small in the pocket and super light. Big fan of this size knife.

Re: Your Spyderco New Year's EDC
My new beautiful all black Para 3. It’ll probably be with me everyday of the year and beyond honestly. Could just be the honeymoon phase :p I love my P3 but adding a deep carry clip made it perfect. If you find that it carrries too high in your pocket, definately look at these clips. :) Gayle Bradl...

Re: MAP policy change? 35%
Well, hello everyone! I'm brand new to the forum and just purchased by first Spyderco this week. Grown adults calling people "retards" and bemoaning a free market over a price increase? Good grief. Here's some free advice from a new guy here, but well experienced in other collector forums...

Re: MAP policy change? 35%
I thought you were a Buck man now? Sure seems like a lot of time and energy to waste bemoaning the pricing strategy of a company you claim to not even be interested in. As far as rubbing pennies together? Nah, not me. I’m doing pretty well actually. Of course, I try to use my time constructively. J...

Interesting thread. I get the impression that many of you would be happier if we made all of our knives in China (cheap) and only sold to Walmart & Amazon (cheap) so YOU can get what YOU want as cheaply as possible? Or maybe we could get our crew, dealers, advertisers, shippers, suppliers, etc....

Re: prices jumping again?
Luckily in Canada the prices are very close to the US for Spyderco and other big US brands.... I rarely pay more than 5-10% more for a Spyderco in Canada. If I can’t get one here for close to US web prices, I just buy from USA Made Blade or BladeHQ. Most of the time, Canada Post doesn’t even bother...

Re: prices jumping again?
Meh, USA spydercos are already dirt cheap anyway. Just the other day our main distributor of brand name knives added the sliverax to their lineup in the Netherlands.. Huzzah! For just €289,95. 289.95 Euro equals 346.44 US Dollar. Must be a mistake right? I emailed, asked if it was a preliminary pri...
