but blade will only fully deploy and lock-up 2 out of 3 times unless I give it a firm push/flip or whatever you want to call it. It depends how you grab the flipper to deploy it. I don't find the video in which someone explained that the knife will deploy better if you put your finger at the top of...

I'm probably to old to not consider a "traditional flipper" like some sort of an oxymoron, for me "flipper" means "tactical thingy". But as we see more and more flipper knives, this way of opening a knife will probably become more "traditional" in the future. ...

OK, I understand my mistake.
I never paid attention to these details before then, said like it was, I thought that the rounded "Y" was some sort of a Moky's trademark.
In fact Golden use the same rounded "Y".

Look on the tang stamp at the word SPYDERCO. If the Y is like this one (Y) it is not Moki. If the Y is like a U on a stick instead of a V on a stick then it is Moki. So what is the little story about the ParaMilitary Brown G-10 in CPM-S35VN ? It is stamped "Spyderco" with the rounded &quo...

Love the feel of the fat rounded scales and the looks, but I'll stick with locking blades. With a friction folder, you use the palm of your hand or one of your fingers to block the tab in its groove = the blade is locked. When a locking mechanism is going to fail, most of the time, nothing is alert...

Because of its zero grind, the Nilakka might benefit of a softer clad steel. The blade will be easier to sharpen.

I was about to choose the Jester but then as I opened it up, I noticed a fair amount of rust on the blade, in the SpydieHole, and even some on the lockbar. I didn't handle this knife at all in the past week, nor did I use it and then not clean it off before setting it down so I'm not sure what happ...

As I don't like pinned construction, I thought that my Al Mar Eagle ultralight would be the only exception to this personnal preference... Caly3 super blue and Calypso brown G-10. I prefer the Zero over the Mojo, the handle shape seems much better. The Cato looks nice but its blade shape is not for me.
A wharncliff like the 67 would be great.
I also like the Mini Mofo and the Kaos.

But I don't like his frame-lock knives without a liner under the handle material.
