Re: Help me pick my next spyderco

Thanks :) I have a few stones I do my knives and straight razors on, since most of my tasks are slicing rather than ripping but that said...never say never. This is my largest folder...quite an inferior build quality however... https://i.imgur.com/VuDcGUJl.jpg I’ve seen the ARK a few times but the b...

Re: Delica 4 LWT Information For A Newbie

One of the outstanding things about the Delica is its ergonomics. The handle is pretty close to perfect, thin where it needs to be, bigger where necessary and smoothly shaped to fit a human hand. I prefer the knife without the clip for the simple reason that the clip interfers with the ergonomics o...

Re: Help me pick my next spyderco

Thanks for the input guys :) Lots of terrific suggestions. I’m very keen on looking at a hawkbill shape blade, most likely it will be a plain edge as I’m not big on serrations and I don’t have the gear to sharpen serrations. I’d love to get some colour in the mix, In my collection as a whole it’s pr...

Re: Para 3 pocket clip discussion

https://i.imgur.com/oNPsJ3wl.jpg It’s really not a big deal, it makes it easy to grab and as for the tube I like how it looks personally. I would prefer the wire clip but ergonomically speaking this slots into my hand fantastic so the wire clip may not be as comfortable. I’m still new to the knife ...

Re: Delica 4 LWT Information For A Newbie

It’s a great no nonsense knife, easy on most hands, solid lock up, easy to hone and reliable. You can flick them is you are so inclined. If your a fidgety person it’s not really for that but as a knife it’s fantastic. Also disassembly isn’t that hard really, it’s just a little fiddly the first time....

Nothing wrong with Vg-10, even ikea kitchen knives are VG-10.

Re: Bit excited

I carry right side tip up and with the clip in this position I have to say ergonomically this is a fantastic knife it fills my hand beautifully.
The compression lock really had the potential to be my favourite lock I think

Re: At Last, A Tactical Bottle Opener

I’m in Australia, the vast majority of cans are pulls here and I guess you do come across a need for a bottle cap lifter occasionally, but not enough to need one on my person at all times.
That said different markets I guess, I really hope we see a mix of other tools through.

Re: Update - What Can I Do About This Squeaking??

Personally I’d pull it apart, clean it, lube it with a big of froglube on the detent path and nano oil in the pivot. That’s just me though There’s a couple things I’m thinking of doing and this is one of them. But I’m gonna let the break-in takes its course without lube for now. Jase, this is indee...

Re: At Last, A Tactical Bottle Opener

I just watched the shot show thing on YouTube and saw this and it kinda got me wondering... are cans with pull tabs and bottles with twist tops not a thing in the US? There seems to be very strong following for bottle/can opening capabilities being a high priority, I clearly don’t get it but I will ...

Re: Bit excited

Shall do! It’s going into an express bag today so I should see it tomorrow. I have to say, while I prefer a deep carry I don’t theoreticaly mind the shallowness of the para3 as long as it dosnt impinge my range of movement I’m not fussed. As I see it I’m either at work so having a knife isn’t an iss...
