Re: Para 3 pocket clip needs CQI
I'd agree, placement for the screw holes is not ideal.
It's like they just anticipated that lanyard placement would trump clip location for most users. But I don't use a lanyard on this knife.

Re: New Models Dropped: Caly 3 HAP40 Sprint, Para 3 CRUWEAR Sprint
For those who are still waiting for their Caly from KC, I talked to them today and have good news. They reassured me that they are working through their preorder list, but it's slow because Spyderco had been sending them shipments of less than 10 Calys at a time. Weird... I was also told that they ...

Yep, I think this is key to ideal usage for this knife.

Re: To Those of You That Just Got a Positron ...
For this discounted price it's a fantastic bargain for the materials and construction. But, some ergonomic quirks seem to be compromises. Compromises I'm not used to on my regular in-house designed Spyderco models that make little to no compromises for ergos. Just my perspective anyway. Pointed fing...

Re: Crazy deals @ Sierra and other places
It carries nicely in a suit if that helps. Ideal gents folder. What do you think of the flipping action? Flippers aren't my favorite. I'm carrying one right now that just drives me up the wall. I just got my CF Positron today so I'll jump in. The flipping action I find to be perfect. I also found t...

Re: Crazy deals @ Sierra and other places
The Positron handle creates a gnarly hotspot in my palm at the back corner behind the clip hole. And that partly makes me unconsciously want to slide up into a choil like I'm grabbing onto a different knife, but then catch myself since it's non-existent... I'll probably gift this one to someone with...

Re: Carrying a knife in a "no knives" workplace.
Wife works at REI. Went to buy something the other day. At the register, she mentioned to her coworkers that I like knives. I pulled out my Military for little show and tell. Next thing you hear is click, click, click. I *it you not, three guys pulled out their Spydercos. Then someone said, 'hey Ga...

^ Thanks abbazaba! You always post some slick ultra focused shots, so glad you picked mine! Congrats to you, too, Liquid! By the way, your other photo pushed me over the edge and inspired me to go ahead and just get myself a Shaman, haha, but I went SE - seemed fitting for this knife design, and als...

Re: Terms: Lightweight, Linerless, etc.
It seems to me the "LW" designation is a more recent thing appearing when the Golden models starting coming in FRCP variations. I don't recall seeing a Salt in FRN ever being designated or advertised as the Salt LW. Regardless if it was actually physically Light Weight or not. Maybe just i...

Re: No love for CBBL?
The CBBL is by far the most ergonomic lock Spyderco has. I rarely use the thumb hole on my Manix 2, I just pull back on the lock and swing it open. Pull back and another swing to close. No other lock integrates with deployment like this that I’m aware of. And even if you’re not swing it closed it’s...
